Let’s talk melanin rich lips… now, this is not my expert field. I do some but not hundreds a year like other treatments and I’m humble enough to accept that I don’t know everything about everything and never will. So…. I always go cautiously with these cases. Lip neutralising is very complex and comes with additional risks, in my opinion it is an expert field and requires sound colour theory.

My client actually requested pink. We compromised on pinky red but first we had to go in with an orangey tone concentrated on the areas that needed bringing up to a neutral tone. The colour isn’t what she wanted but she trusted we would get there if we went about it the right way rather than the quick way. If you’ve got lips like this then stay well away from any cool toned pinks, mauves or browns. The result of mixing those colours with darker lip tissue will be a disaster (I know, I’ve seen it).

My client is super happy with the end result, you can check them out at the end of the slides and I think we achieved a nice pink 🥰💕
(I may well have breathed a large sigh of relieved at how pretty these have healed 😉 I was expecting several sessions to get them where she wanted but it turns out we are done and dusted for now 🙌) and actually I loved doing them so if there’s any melanin rich lip girlies out there come see me 🤗
