After finding out I placed 90th for Best for Blonde 2026 and 28th for Colour Specialist of the Year at the Hair & Beauty Awards UK, I was contacted by the Reading Chronicle to have a chat about the awards, my career, my little salon and what I want to do next 🥹

I know I’ve already posted about the awards but seeing an actual article written about me and my business is just SO surreal 😭

I’ve wanted to be a hairdresser since I was little and always knew I wanted to work for myself one day, so seeing “Reading hairdresser ranked among UK’s best” written about ME is honestly crazy 😂🥹

From doing mobile hair to having my own little 1-1 salon, specialising in the things I love and now planning to start teaching other stylists… I’m actually really proud of myself 🥹💗

And obviously I wouldn’t have a business without all of my clients who keep choosing me, trusting me with their hair, recommending me and supporting everything I do 🫶🏼

Why does your blonde suddenly look warmer a couple of weeks after your appointment? 👀💛

Your toner hasn’t necessarily “just disappeared” - there are a few things that can make your blonde start looking yellow or brassy much quicker than expected.

🚿 Hard water & mineral build-up
Minerals in your water can build up on the hair and change the way your blonde looks over time. A good clarifying or mineral-removing shampoo can help but you don’t need to use it every wash!

☀️ Heat, sun & swimming
Hot tools, UV exposure and chlorine can all affect your colour. Heat protection is a MUST, and if you’re going on holiday or swimming regularly, your blonde needs a little extra protection too.

🧴 Your home haircare
The products you use really do matter. Salon-quality shampoo, heat protection and the right products for your blonde will help your colour stay looking fresh for longer. And more purple shampoo isn’t always the answer! 💜
