After the big loss our boy Branston 💔🐈 our house was very empty. We felt lost without him and having a fluffy one at home with us.
So we decided to adopt 2 rescue kittens from National Animal Welfare Trust Berkshire. Meet Luna (the smooth shorthaired Tabby) and Hermione (The fluffy Tabby!). They have made us very happy.
😍🤩

Hermione is very cheeky and has climbed the curtains already but is super sweet a cuddly, Luna loves to play and flop on you and is also really cuddly and likes sitting on your lap.
They both love cat milk, treats and drinking from your cup!

They wake us up in morning with purring by our heads, not forgetting the zoomies in the middle of the night.

Thank you to Mum and Dad for their kitty daycare!
More kittens tales to come!

We are on our holiday in France 🇫🇷 Lilly and I are having a lovely relaxing break away with my Partner Lee and his son Riley.
We got the Ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo on the over night ferry which was fun!
We are staying in a beautiful relaxing setting, with a pool, lake and even paddle boards! We have already had far too many pastry’s!
I’ve never driven in another country before, so yesterday I put on my big girl boots and drove back from the Supermarket! 💪

☀️ Heatwave Update ☀️

With the temperatures soaring, we wanted to let you know that we’re doing our very best to keep you comfortable during your visit.

While we don’t have air conditioning in the salon, we do have fans and portable air cooling units running throughout the day. We’re also providing cold facial towels during facials, manicures and pedicures, along with cool water in our manicure and pedicure bowls to help you stay refreshed.

One treatment we’re finding particularly challenging in this heat is massage. Between the warm room and the physical work involved, we are in danger of becoming a melted puddle on the floor! 😅🫠

With the current temperatures set to continue, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all massage appointments this week. Instead, we will be offering a wonderfully cooling facial at no extra cost, using chilled gua shas, ice globes and cold towels. We will be contacting everyone who is currently booked in for a massage to discuss the change.

We completely understand that the heat can be too much for some people. If you feel unable to attend your appointment because of the weather, please just send us a message to let us know. We will not charge any cancellation fee during the heatwave.

Please look after yourselves, stay hydrated, and we’ll do everything we can to make your visit as comfortable as possible. 💙

Branston 🐾❤️

Our little fluffy boy has now completed his first full night back at home. 🏡

We’re still taking things one day at a time, but it’s wonderful to see him looking brighter and more comfortable.

🐾 I suspect Branston has returned from hospital and, after steadily making his way around the house and supervising staff, he’s discovered that home is basically a luxury hotel 🏨:

🍲 The catering is better.
🏨 Room service is available on demand.
🍗 The staff hand-deliver gourmet chicken.
⛲️ The water fountain is fully operational.
👭🏼 Two members of staff have even relocated their sleeping quarters for his convenience.
🛌🚽 A private recovery suite has been created, complete with luxury accommodation and an accessible executive bathroom.

He’s probably thinking, “This heart ❤️ failure business is unfortunate, but the customer service has become exceptional!”

The patient remains under close observation and appears to be making a list of further requirements for management. 📋🐈🐾

Thank you all so much for your kindness, support and understanding. It has meant a great deal to us.

Update on Branston 🐾
Our little boy is now home with us and resting after a very rough couple of nights in a loud hotel (vet hospital!). He’s wolfed down some chicken and is now sleeping. He does have heart ❤️ failure so we don’t know how long we will have with him but for now he’s happy and safe with us.

Thank you all for your understanding, support, lovely messages and kindness.

Many of you know how much my animals mean to me, so I wanted to give you a little update.

My family and I have had a difficult 24 hours with our much-loved cat, Branston. He’s 15 years old and came to me in the early hours of the morning struggling to breathe. I rushed him to the vets, and he is currently being cared for at a veterinary hospital in Newbury while they try to find out exactly what’s going on.

At the moment, I don’t know what the next few days or weeks will look like. I’m hoping for the best and keeping everything crossed that he’ll soon be home where he belongs, enjoying his favourite spot in the garden and soaking up the sunshine.

However, I wanted to let everyone know that there is a possibility I may need to travel to him at short notice. As many of you know, it is extremely rare for me to cancel or move appointments, but if I do need to, I hope you’ll understand. With Holly away on holiday, I’m managing things on my own at the moment, so I wanted to give everyone advance notice just in case.

When we lost Branston’s sister a few years ago, I wasn’t able to be there at the end, and that’s something that has stayed with me. This time, whatever happens, I want to make sure I’m there for Branston.

Thank you all for your kindness, patience and understanding. It really does mean a lot.

I’ll keep you updated.
