You donโ€™t need more skincare. You need the right skincare.

Weโ€™re constantly being told that we need another serum, another cream, another viral โ€œmust-haveโ€โ€ฆ

But good skincare isnโ€™t about having more products.
Itโ€™s about knowing what your skin actually needs and choosing accordingly.

So before I buy a new skincare product, there are a few GREEN FLAGS I always look for ๐Ÿ‘€

Swipe through to see what I pay attention to- and save this for the next time youโ€™re tempted to buy a new product.

๐Ÿ’š GREEN FLAGS IN YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE

My favourite GREEN FLAG ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‘‡

Has your skin changed after giving birth? ๐Ÿ‘€
Dryness, breakouts, pigmentation or suddenly sensitive skin?
It might not be your skincare routine thatโ€™s the problem.

Suddenly, you may experience dryness, tightness, increased sensitivity, breakouts or pigmentation. Sometimes, it feels like the skincare products that worked so well before pregnancy suddenly donโ€™t work anymore.

And it doesnโ€™t always mean you need a stronger skincare product.

After giving birth, your body goes through major hormonal changes. If youโ€™re breastfeeding, your hormonal environment remains different too, which can affect your skin.

On top of that, thereโ€™s lack of sleep, stress, exhaustion, changes in your diet and simply much less time to take care of yourself.

So your skin may become:
๐Ÿค drier and more dehydrated
๐Ÿค more sensitive and reactive
๐Ÿค more prone to breakouts
๐Ÿค more uneven in tone
๐Ÿค dull and lacking radiance

And if, together with these skin changes, you experience severe tiredness, hair loss, paleness or other concerning symptoms, itโ€™s worth looking at the bigger picture and speaking to your doctor.

After giving birth, prevention is key. Itโ€™s worth keeping an eye on your blood test results and checking that your body has recovered properly after pregnancy and childbirth. This doesnโ€™t mean every mum has deficiencies- absolutely not. But itโ€™s good to know where you stand. ๐Ÿค

As a cosmetologist, I always look at the skin as more than just a cream or serum.

Because sometimes, your skin is trying to tell you that the problem goes a little deeper.

๐Ÿงฌ PDRN, exosomes, NAD+, copper peptidesโ€ฆ Is this just a passing fad or the future of cosmetology?

If you follow skincare news, youโ€™ve surely noticed the growing buzz around ingredients that do more than just improve the skin's appearanceโ€”they actively support its natural regenerative mechanisms.

Cosmetology is shifting its approach. Instead of focusing solely on masking signs of aging, the emphasis is increasingly on "skin longevity"โ€”maintaining healthy, resilient, and well-functioning skin for the long haul.

In this carousel, youโ€™ll find the most talked-about ingredients currently shaping the future of modern cosmetology: ๐Ÿงฌ PDRN and polynucleotides ๐Ÿงซ Exosomes โšก NAD+ ๐Ÿ”ต Copper peptides (GHK-Cu) ๐ŸŒฑ Growth factors and spermidine ๐Ÿ’ง Ectoin, postbiotics, and ceramides.

However, remember that even the most advanced ingredient cannot replace a well-tailored skincare routine or a healthy hydrolipid barrier. That barrier is the foundation for the effectiveness of any treatment.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Now, Iโ€™d love to hear your thoughts... Which of these ingredients interests you the most? Or perhaps youโ€™ve already used some of them and want to share your experience?
