I really just want to find out what will help my clients, grow my business, help other salon businesses and clients.

So time to ask for some help in creating out booking platform thats been a year + in the making .

Just so some of you are aware, I’ve been trialling Treatwell alongside Salony, which is our own booking system that Sam and I have spent over a year building.

You may notice that some clients receive *double confirmations or notifications at the moment while we’re doing this — this is intentional and part of some market research into what clients find easiest and most comfortable when booking appointments.

My mum also uses Fresha, and eventually we’re looking at bringing everything over to Salony.

How do you prefer to book your appointments?

And just as importantly…

What do you like — and dislike — about booking systems?

For example:

* Do you like being able to choose your own appointment time?
* Do you prefer speaking to someone?
* Do reminders and confirmations make you feel reassured?
* Do you find too many notifications annoying?
* Do you like being able to reschedule or cancel yourself?
* Is there anything about online booking that makes you anxious or puts you off?
* Would you rather have someone book it for you?
* Do you like having your regular appointment automatically booked?

We want to make our booking system as inclusive and accessible as possible, particularly for anyone who experiences anxiety around making appointments. ❤️

Years ago, we found that some of our older clients preferred not to book online and instead liked having a dedicated appointment every week or month, which became part of their routine.

But things have changed so much with social media, apps and online booking, and we want to make sure we're adapting to what our clients actually want, rather than just assuming what works best.

So please tell us honestly — how do YOU like to book your appointments, and what makes a booking system easier or harder for you?

Paddington joined us today as he needed an adventure and had to of course have a trip to the salon as he hasn't been whilst his been with us, so before he goes back to nursery we thought he would come and get a load of goodie bag treats for the nursery staff.
