Four months postpartum, and today I finally unrolled my mat for me. 🙏🏼

​Honestly? It took a long time to get back here. Before baby, I pictured a seamless return to my physical practice and teaching, but the reality looked very different. For the past ten months, my yoga hasn’t been flowing through dynamic sequences or pushing into peak poses.

It’s been deep, grounding breathwork while rocking an unsettled baby. It’s been pockets of gentle stretches on the edge of the bed after feeds.

​More than anything, it’s been a lesson in patience while navigating a complete shift in identity. Coming to terms with who I am now—and learning to honor and accept a brand new body that feels and moves so differently—has taken time. As a teacher, I’ve always shared that yoga meets you exactly where you are, but living that truth postpartum the second time around has been my deepest, most humbling practice yet.

​Stepping onto the mat today was a quiet reminder that it is always okay to start again. It wasn't about trying to get back to my "old self," but about welcoming this new version of me: softer, slower, and rooted in a whole new kind of strength.

​To every one out there trying to navigate a new chapter, redefine your space, or feel like home in your body again: give yourself grace. It’s okay to start over as many times as you need. Your practice hasn't vanished—it’s just shifted shape, and your mat will always be waiting when you’re ready. ✨

Update - We welcomed our baby girl Esme into the world on 22nd May... Currently surrendering to newborn needs and allowing my body to recover... Hoping to resume teaching in Autumn 2026.
