It’s taken me 41 years to learn…

Going to bed early isn’t boring. Sleep is essential.
Eating whole foods isn’t punishment. I genuinely love how they make me feel.
The gym isn’t just about how my body looks. It’s changed how I feel about myself.
Giving up alcohol nearly two years ago was one of the best decisions I ever made. I don’t miss losing tomorrow for a few hours tonight.

And probably the biggest one…
Getting older isn’t something to be scared of.

I hear so many women talk about turning 40 like the best bit is behind them.

I feel completely the opposite.

My 40s feel like a second half.
A chance to rebuild.
To get stronger.
To know myself better.
To care a lot less about what people think.
To spend my time on the people and things that actually matter.

I don’t have everything figured out — far from it.

But I know I want to sleep well, eat well, train hard, laugh loads, love the people around me and live every bloody day as big as I can.

Because I’m not getting older and disappearing.
