Charlotte fancied a change
Her hair is pretty fine.
She brought some pictures of choppy bobs
Sadly allot of pics from Pinterest/ social media platforms are often styled to an inch of their lives.
Part of the consultation is to explain these looks don’t come from just waking up, they require time to look this good.
Allot of pictures are also styled with a GHD wave (which looks amazing) it creates the illusion of choppy and movement when actually the hair is one length.
Charlotte’s hair wouldn’t work with choppy layers as it would become too fine and she would loose that lovely blunt thickness she also wanted at the base.
So….
We opted for this 1 length but with some long bangs (this also makes the hair look fuller from the front)
I chipped into yeh base to create a little movement when she doesn’t style it.

She has had a good summer!
Bringing down the blonde for the autumn creating a softer and more natural feel.
By adding darker pieces throughout it creates dimension and gives the blonde a pop.

I have had lots of lovely long blondes in recently!
I Love brightening hair back up.
This lady has had a super busy few months (hence not being able to make it in)
I feel so pleased that my clients loyalty means they always come back even if it’s been nearly a year since their last visit. 😊🤦‍♀️
Apart from having loads to chat about she left feeling herself again.
My job as a hairdresser is not only about hair cuts but about relationships and consistency.

Let’s go short said Jo!
Jo has gorgeous thick hair and had been maintaining a slightly graduated Bob the past few months.
Today we decided to change it up.
The back was her problem area, I suggested we keep some softness through the front but take the back shorter to make it easier to dry and style!
This cut can be worn smooth as I have shown but also using some Matt wax or texture spray you can create a more relaxed look fuller look.

Some much needed highlights and cut here today.
Lisa likes to keep her hair lighter during the cooler months unlike some clients that choose to go a little darker.
We added some warmth to it though to keep it soft.
Just a trim today and Lisa opted for a smooth straight finish today.

What a difference a root touch and conditioning treatment make.
Caroline has a gorgeous natural curl and we do often work with it.
Today though she fancied a change so we applied her usual root colour and then I applied a nourishing conditioning treatment .
This time of year as the weather starts to cool and the hair has been in the sun/holiday/pools it can really lack moisture so a good treatment will help
set it up for winter.
I then dried her hair straight, look at that shine.

Warm doesn’t have to be bad, in fact this time of year our skin tone changes as does the weather so some warmer tones can enhance eye colour and skin tone.
If we Can’t have warmth from the sun have some in your hair 🥰

Lighting….
This is Vicky and she has amazing natural auburn hair.
We have previously enriched the natural tones
Today she wanted to try a gentle and more natural balayage.
This is where lighting comes in….
The colour looked beautiful however when we took the pictures I was gutted!
It hardly looked any different
The last picture of her hair in the chair just about shows it off
I will be making a reel to show the real results but I thought I’d share this too….
It’s not always perfect plain sailing here
Juggling good work/showcasing it with social media / keeping the salon worked and tidy etc
Even creating posts on a Sunday!

This was well overdue!
Emelye had previously had highlights and a root shadow back in April and was due for her maintenance appointment back in June then the summer holidays took over!
She also wanted to give her hair a chance to grow.
The first 2 pictures is of what we did back in April.
I loved this look and hadn’t done a root shadow on hair this short before.
Finally she made it to the cabin a couple of weeks ago.
We had loads to chat about and we opted to brighten it up again using highlights and a toner to blend and create a lived in natural blonde.
Haircut, as she has been growing it we evened it all to a Bob.
It is looking great now!

A balayage freshen up today for Lisa
Having had the summer away her hair was in need of some TLC
We opted for a richer feel this time, created using the free hand technique adding some darker tones throughout and toning.
Lisa also opted for the Moroccan oil Hydration enriched treatment to add the shine and re hydrate her hair.
