Hey lovelies. How are we all? I hope everyone is well.

Firstly I want to apologise for the radio silence. Life has been life(ing) and I’ve been kept on my toes with Brodie enjoying every moment of it. Even when he is having a tantrum, terrible 2’s have hit early 😂🙈. He is 19months. Can anyone believe that 😮…I can’t. Time has gone so fast.

So I wanted to come on and give you a work/life update. As most of you are aware when I went off on mat leave I wasn’t sure how long I was going to take off. Genuinely was just playing it by ear. Whilst I have been off enjoying mum life it has gave me a lot of time to think and evaluate my work/life balance and where life is taking me next.

I love running a business, the freedom of it, the stress of it 😂, the flexibility of it, all you lovely lot, my clients who have become friends 😘 but running a business is a 24 hours 7 days a week job. Time that I just can’t commit to at the minute.

So it’s with a heavy heart I have decided to hang up my spatula, wax strips and nail files for the foreseeable and close the business 😢. I will miss each and every one of you but this is the right move for myself at this time. I’m not saying I’ll never go back to beauty but for now I’m done.

This might have come as a surprise to some but also maybe not a surprise to others. I just want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for keeping me in business, being loyal clients and turning into friends 🤍. I have truly met some amazing people over the last 11 years I have had the business and the few years before that.

Sorry it has took me so long to post this…I just couldn’t bring myself to do as it was the end of an era 😢.

You may be wondering what I’m going to do with myself…I’ve been lucky enough to get a part time admin job within the NHS 😊.

Thank you if you have stayed with me and read this far. It was a long one lol.

✨Life/Work Update✨

Hi Lovlies!

How are we all? It’s been a while since I’ve put a wee post up. I’ve just been looking after the mad man that is Brodie 😂. He eats, he sleeps through the night, he is a contented wee soul. He has his moments though of course 😂🙈. He will be 8months on the 26th September. Can you believe that 😮. Quickest 8months of my life.

I know when I was finishing up for maternity leave I said I was looking to be back at work about 6months after birth but was very blasé about it as to be honest I genuinely didn’t know how long I was taking off and was just playing it by ear but 6months was my minimum I was going to be off. This has now changed. I have decided I won’t be back at work (wherever that base may be) until at least his 1st birthday. So I will have a normal Christmas off work for the first time in a lot of years.

Truth be told I am not ready mentally to leave him as I’m just having too much fun hanging about with him everyday. Plus I’m not sure I will be doing it again 😂 so I just want to soak up every moment with him and not miss anything. I am exhausted most of the time but it’s the best. I am also not mentally ready to be back at work just yet. The thought of coming back has gave me anxiety. I haven’t thought properly about where I am going to be based when I do come back and haven’t looked into it yet properly but I’m 90% sure it will be in a business centre in Paisley so still local 😊. Just wanted to give everyone a wee honest update as I am guessing some of you have been stalking my socials for an update of my return 😂🙈.

Wee Update!

Hey lovelies! Hope we are all well. Just thought I’d post a wee update since I’ve not done one in a while.

This wee guy will be 16 weeks on Friday 🙈. I can’t believe it. Time has flew by.

I just want to say a massive thank you again to all my clients who gave me gifts for Brodie. There is a wee thank you card at the end so scroll through the photos to see it and a wee message from Brodie please 😊.

Work update. I still have no plans as of yet and have no dates as to when I will be back at work. I am just enjoying my time with Brodie at the minute. I have decided I will be taking at least the 9 months maternity leave but will obviously keep you all updated with dates and location of where I will be eventually lol.

Hey lovelies!

How are we all? Hope everyone is good!

Just thought I’d jump on for a wee check in/update on life recently.

I’m currently still living in my baby bubble. Enjoying every moment of this wee cherub.

He is 2months today. I can’t believe it. Time has flew by so quick. He loves his milk and is sleeping so I really can’t complain. He is a dream. Hitting all his milestones 😊. Currently still living on his schedule lol. He is now laughing and smiling which just melts my heart. No one can describe the love you feel for the human you made 💚.

Missing all your chat but Brodie is keeping me entertained with his chat and facial expressions 😂.

✨PLEASE READ✨

Hey guys.

That’s me now on maternity leave. 3 weeks to go 🙈. Not gonna lie, I’m sh****ng myself 🤣 but we move and I’m winging it haha. I plan to take off 4-6 months I think hopefully. I will keep everyone updated via social media and via messages about returning back to work and also when he arrives 😊. Don’t worry you will get spammed with the baby pictures lol.

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the years. I have gained some true friendships from clients and the laughs we have are the best. I will miss you all while I’m off.

Okay now onto the hard part…it is with a heavy heart that I have decided once I come back from maternity leave I won’t be returning to the shop on Neilston Road 😢. This means I will be coming out my partnership with Vanya and Alanna. Everyone else will still be based at Neilston Road, it is just unfortunately Bombshell Beauty won’t be 😢. This decision did not come lightly and I was back and forth for months trying to decide what to do but at the minute this is the best move for me. Even though I am beyond gutted to go and will miss everyone terribly.

Plans for going forward I am going to use my maternity leave to figure out my next moves but don’t worry I will be back doing beauty. I am pretty sure I will just be renting a room in one of the business centres like Abbey Mill or St James in Linwood. It most definitely won’t be myself opening a salon on my own or renting a room in another salon as that would just be far too weird.

I just wanted to say thank you to the gang for the years we have spent working together. You truly are one of a kind. All the ups and downs. The laughs, the cries. 2 shop moves later. The dramas! The gossip! It’s been an emotional rollercoaster 🤣. I will miss you all so much and love you all 😘. I’m going to start crying now so I will leave it there.

Ladies as most of you know by now i am with child 😂 and I am due my baby in roughly 6 weeks time.

I will be finishing up for Maternity Leave on Saturday 6th January 2024.

I plan to take minimum 4months off but if I can take a bit longer I will.

Obviously I will keep everyone updated regularly with my return to work dates etc…

I still have some space left in between Christmas and New Year and the first week of January before I finish up if anyone is looking for any last minute appointments.
