If your feet could talk after summer… what would they say? 👣
After a long summer, autumn is slowly on its way. 🍂
Summer gives us wonderful memories — holidays, long walks, sandals, beaches and days spent outdoors.
But it can leave a few memories on our feet too.
Dry skin. Cracked heels. Blisters. Tired feet. Damaged or stressed toenails.
If our feet could talk, some of them would probably be calling for a pair of pedicurist's hands by now. 😊
But here's something I think we sometimes forget:
Pedicures aren't only for problem feet.
Healthy feet deserve professional care too.
A good pedicure can help keep skin comfortable, nails well maintained and feet looking and feeling their best — while also giving us the opportunity to notice small changes before they become bigger problems.
After all, our feet carry us through every season of our lives. ❤️
My summer holiday is almost over, and I'll soon be back doing what I love — taking care of your feet.
Healthy Feet = Confidence 👣❤️

Every nail tells a different story... 👣🤍
Many people don't realise that psoriasis can affect the nails too.
Psoriatic nails are not contagious, but because the nail is often damaged or crumbly, bacteria, fungi and even viruses can find it easier to enter. That's why it's important not to wait until the nail deteriorates further.
The photos below were taken just 30 minutes apart.
Of course, the nail didn't heal in that time.
By carefully reducing and reshaping the damaged, crumbly areas, the nail immediately looked cleaner, healthier and much easier to manage.
Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, so unfortunately it can't be cured. However, with the right foot care and regular maintenance, the appearance of the nail can often be improved while reducing the risk of secondary infection.
It's also important to remember that every nail responds differently.
Even on the same foot, one nail may be almost unaffected while another shows significant changes.
I never promise perfect nails.
My goal is to help keep your nails as healthy, comfortable and manageable as possible while supporting long-term nail health.
Between treatments, I often recommend the CALLUX AntiFungi Serum.
It has antifungal, antimicrobial and antiviral properties, helping to protect damaged nails and support a healthier nail environment.
I usually smile and tell my clients...
**"It's my anti-everything serum."** 😊
Because I'm not just treating a nail...
**I'm caring for the person behind it.** 🤍

Some things never go out of style... 🤍
Not because they're fashionable.
But because they simply feel right.
A classic French pedicure isn't about following trends.
It's about choosing something elegant, timeless and effortless.
The same is true in life.
The things that last are often the simplest.

👣 Nail ridges are often misunderstood.
Many people worry that nail ridges are a sign that something is wrong.
But that's not necessarily true.
As we age, our nails naturally change, and vertical ridges are often a normal part of that process.
However, ridges can also develop because of repeated trauma, pressure from footwear, the natural ageing process or changes in our overall health.
That's why I never look at ridges on their own.
I assess the whole nail.
The surrounding skin.
The other nails.
Your footwear.
Your medical history.
Because the ridges themselves aren't the diagnosis...
They're simply one piece of the puzzle.
Knowing why ridges develop is important.
But there's another reason I pay close attention to them.
They can also affect how beautifully the finished polish sits on the nail.
If the nail surface is uneven, polish can settle into the ridges, making them appear even more noticeable.
Where appropriate and safe to do so, I gently refine the nail surface before polish is applied. This allows the polish to glide on more evenly, creating a smoother, more elegant finish.
Beautiful polish doesn't start with colour.
It starts with preparation.
Every nail tells a different story.
Because I'm not just treating a nail.
I'm caring for the person behind it. ❤️

👣 "Let's talk about feet..."
What do your toenails say about you? 👣
More than you might think...
People often notice well-looked-after feet before they even realise they have.
It's not about expensive shoes or the latest nail colour.
It's about taking pride in yourself and looking after your wellbeing.
Healthy feet help you feel comfortable, confident and ready for every step.
And yes... I have to admit, this rich burgundy is one of my favourite timeless shades. ❤️

👣 "Why does my nail keep getting thick again?"
It's a question I hear quite often.
Many people think that once a thickened nail has been reduced, the problem has been solved.
Unfortunately, it's not always that simple.
Some thickened nails continue to return, even with regular professional treatment.
Why?
Because the thickened nail is often only the visible part of the problem.
Toe deformities, repeated pressure, footwear, previous trauma, biomechanics and underlying health conditions can all contribute.
Sometimes it's one factor.
Very often, it's several working together.
As a Foot Health Practitioner, my role isn't simply to make a nail look better for today.
My role is to reduce pressure, improve comfort, manage the condition safely and support the healthiest nail possible.
Some conditions can be resolved.
Others need ongoing management rather than a one-time treatment.
That's why regular maintenance is so important.
Every appointment gives me the opportunity to monitor any changes, reduce thickened nail safely and adapt the treatment as your feet change over time.
Every nail tells a different story.
Because I'm not just treating a nail.
I'm caring for the person behind it. ❤️

Sunday Self-Care 👣💛
As a Hungarian, St Elizabeth of Hungary has always held a special place in my heart. It feels especially meaningful that my son's school, St Elizabeth's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Belper, proudly carries her name.
St Elizabeth is remembered for her kindness, compassion and the dignity she showed to every person she met. Those values inspire not only how I try to live my life, but also how I care for every client who trusts me with their feet.
For me, foot health is never just about nails or skin. It's about listening, understanding, treating every person with respect, and helping them feel comfortable, confident and cared for.
This Sunday, be kind to yourself too. Rest, recharge, and remember that caring for your feet is part of caring for your whole wellbeing.
Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Sunday. 👣❤️

❤️ Sometimes the most important part of a pedicure isn't the polish.
It's giving yourself permission to stop for a while.
To switch off.
To relax.
To enjoy two hours that are just for you.
Recently, one of my lovely clients described her appointment as:
"The best 2 hours I've had in a long time."
Reading those words meant so much to me.
Because that's exactly what I hope every client experiences.
Professional foot care.
Time to unwind.
And leaving with feet that feel healthier, more comfortable and beautifully cared for.
Because a luxury pedicure isn't only about how your feet look...
It's about how you feel when you leave.
Healthy Feet = Confidence. 👣❤️

💊 "I've been taking antifungal tablets for months... so why does my nail still look the same?"
If you've ever wondered the same thing, you're not alone.
Many people expect that once treatment starts, the damaged nail will simply become healthy again.
Unfortunately, nails don't work that way.
A fungal infection may be treated internally, but the damaged part of the nail doesn't magically repair itself.
Instead, a new healthy nail has to grow, and toenails grow very slowly.
That's why improvement often takes months rather than weeks.
Professional foot care can play an important role during this process.
Carefully thinning the thickened nail, removing loose, damaged nail and gently cleaning the exposed nail bed where the nail has separated helps reduce fungal debris and creates better conditions for healthy nail growth.
It also allows antifungal products to pe*****te the affected area more effectively, supporting the treatment and the growth of a healthier nail.
Good home care is just as important.
In my experience, I've seen the best results when professional treatment is combined with the regular use of the CALLUX Antifungal System at home.
Together, they help create the best possible conditions for healthy nail growth.
Every nail is different.
The severity of the infection, overall health, circulation, footwear and lifestyle can all influence the outcome.
That's why there's rarely a single solution.
The best results usually come from combining the right treatment, consistent home care and patience.
Healthy nails don't appear overnight.
They grow—slowly, naturally and one healthy millimetre at a time. 👣💚
Healthy Feet = Confidence. ❤️
