Some chapters don’t end the way you imagined they would. Sometimes life changes direction without warning, and you find yourself at a crossroads you didn’t ask to be at.

I’m learning there is something incredibly powerful about choosing yourself, over and over. Allowing sadness and gratitude to exist together. Missing parts of an old life while knowing you don’t belong there anymore. Being human. Being vulnerable.

Healing isn’t one big brave decision. It’s hundreds of small ones…

Holding your boundaries.
Protecting your peace.
Accepting people for who they are without judgement.
Letting go of the need for answers.
Choosing not to reopen doors you fought hard to close.
Building a new life around the space loss leaves behind.

And somewhere along the way, the world starts getting bigger again 😊

New places. New memories. New beginnings. A new career. More time with the people I love. And learning I can trust myself to choose the road ahead, even when I don’t know where it leads.

So here I am in my healing era… Solo Spice in Koh Samui 🇹🇭 I’m getting rather used to this solo travel life 🩷 Don’t get me wrong, I’m putting a brave face on. There have been moments of loneliness within the solitude, but the only way out is through. Especially sat behind “Mr & Mrs Honeymoon” feeding each other oysters on the beach at sunset 🥴🙈🤣

I think Robert Frost had it right…

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by.”

I don’t know where this road leads yet. But I’m trusting the universe and the timing of my life 🙏✨

I GOT MY NURSING DEGREE RESULT.
FIRST. CLASS. HONOURS. 📜🎓

Three years of placements, essays, exams, early mornings and long days… while raising a family, running Jody Spice Makeup Artist and carrying on when life had other ideas.

Well, will you just look at me. I actually did it! A flipping FIRST! 🤩

Onwards, forwards and upwards.

There is no merit in holding back; nothing gained but a life half lived. I’m humbly on my way to live my fullest life yet. Heart wounded but open… And if all else fails, at least I can say I had the courage to try a new road. 🩷
