As today is waxy Wednesday I thought I would show you something intimate- my eardrum. Mine is a regular, healthy eardrum and it is working with bat-like precision. Like many things, eardrums come in all shapes, sizes and have varying levels of functionality. Some have extra lumpy bits, some are a rainbow of redness and some even have holes in them, but they all have the same goal- to help conduct sound and to keep the middle ear and the outer ear separate.
