Great day in London at the ACE conference. Lots of learning in between looking at new products & devices. Came home with the obligatory completely unnecessary purchase - a new set of hair straighteners / curlers that of course I didn’t need 🙈

As a huge fan of regenerative medicine skin treatments, I wanted to share this amazing result achieved with this beautiful client using a combination of polynucleotide treatments. It’s not often that I share before and after photos as I understand and respect client privacy, dignity and confidentiality. However, this client was more than happy to share this, which I am very grateful for. Would like to add that this is a lady in her 70s. As if she wasn’t beautiful enough to begin with for a 72year old, she has shared that her treatment has really boosted her confidence! Main concerns and treatment goals were to address the fine lines and crepey skin around the eye area and to improve the overall quality of the skin and to reduce fine lines to the rest of the face. Together we came up with a personalised treatment plan to achieve her desired result and she is over the moon with her result. Combination treatment plan included 3 sessions of polynucleotide treatments to the peri-orbital area around the eyes and 3 ultimate skin boosting anti-aging facials incorporating microneedling treatments using polynucleotide serum, together with the dermalux LED light therapy. Not forgetting the clients commitment to good daily skin care. If you’re looking to improve the quality of your skin and to reduce those fine lines and wrinkles, please feel free to message for a free consultation to discuss your options.

💙BLUE MONDAY💙
This Monday 20th Jan 2025, the 3rd Monday in January, is known as ‘Blue Monday’. Regarded as the most depressing day of the year, when people are most likely to struggle with feelings of sadness, depression, lack of energy and motivation.
Blue Monday serves to raise awareness of mental health support and the importance of self care.
Please take a moment to consider those around you who may be struggling with mental health and also make sure to prioritise some time for you 💙
Self Care Strategies:
💙Reach out. Connect with friends, family or professionals to seek support.
💙Exercise, Meditate, engage in enjoyable activities.
💙Acknowledge Emotions- try to identify and challenge negative thought patterns.
💙Limit exposure to stressors and prioritise self compassion.

Mentorship learning - Complication management:
Many aesthetic practitioners new to the industry would agree that complications is the one aspect of their role that causes the highest level of anxiety and can be a barrier to professional development and progression.
We must accept the we will become involved in a complication at some point. So what can we do to reduce the risks of complications, reduce complication anxiety, allow us to progress and most importantly, keep our patients safe?
Prevention: is key in aesthetic practice. We must conduct a thorough consultation to identify any cautions and contraindications and never be afraid to decline to provide a treatment if you feel it is not right for the patient. Trust your instincts as well as your professional judgement Follow your infection control procedures and protocols. Provide verbal and written patient before and aftercare advice. Gaining extensive knowledge of facial anatomy, techniques and products is essential. Always work within you competency.
Early diagnosis and intervention: Ensure your patient knows how and when to contact you if they have any post treatment concerns and conduct a post procedure assessment promptly. Be available to respond to them and keep accurate and up to date records
Accurate diagnosis: Become confident in diagnosing aesthetic complications and seek support where needed. Consider ultrasound technology. Know your support network and seek advice from CMAC if necessary.
