It's true! The oil contained in many skincare products can breakdown the lash adhesive causing your extensions to fall out prematurely.

This doesn't mean you have to give up your favourite moisturiser or serum completely, it just means they shouldn't be used on or around the eyes while you have extensions. So go ahead girl, slather that luxurious face cream all over your face, just be cautious when applying and keep the eye area free of those products.

Resist the temptation to put mascara on your extensions in between fills. Not only will it break down the glue bonds and cause retention issues but it will clump all of the extensions together. Either move your infill appointment forward or go for a fuller set next time.

Extensions don't stick to dirty lashes and tape does not stick to oily skin! A big part of your lashes lasting is you coming to your appointment with clean lashes and fresh skin. That means washing your lashes with a proper lash shampoo right before your appointment and not applying moisturisers or serums on or around the eye area.
