Sad news alert 😥

Sadly we have made the hard decision not to re open the salon in the new year. As I'm sure you can all understand with the harsh cost of living increases in nearly every bill we pay it has become unsustainable to carry on our small business. I want to thank all of our awesome clients for your continued support throughout the past 4 years (and some) I couldn't of done it without you and my amazing team, Alicia, Gary, Hannah, Tegan and Tia.

Gary and I will be working with our friends at Unity hair salon in Strood and Alicia has a beautiful home salon she will be working from.

As an industry, we have been hit massively (we are not alone here i know) it is becoming harder and harder to make a small business work with these absolutely criminal increases.
There will be price increases to cover costs that we have previously swallowed, and a deposit system/ cancellation fee is being set up to help support business run smoothly.

Would you be shocked if I told you for a second year in a row hairdressers have lost around 40% of earnings through last min cancellations and no shows, that added with the ridiculous overheads we have, can take us to under minimum wage on some days we work. Our industry is no longer as reliable as it was before covid, and is becoming more and more difficult as we crash into recession.

If you can support those small and local businesses, then please do, hairdressers, barbers, nail technicians, beauticians, tattoo artists, butchers, bakers, candlestick makers 🤣 the list goes on....

So that leaves me with the nice part, happy new year to you all, may 2023 be average and boring I'd be happy with that as long as it doesn't get any worse 🤣 be kind, say please and thank you, open a door for someone, don't touch anything and we should be able to sneak through this year without being caught in anymore gloom 🥳🥂🍻
