As we age the collagen in our skin depletes more and more and this can make us look more tired, we get more wrinkles and drawn in the face. Think of it like a grape becoming a raisin.

With collagen stimulation treatment the product works by helping stimulate collagen production and helps voluntary and smooth the skin. The product continues to work up to 3 years.

SAFETY WHILE INJECTING!

Aspiration is not always carried out by all aesthetics practitioners but today’s result shows why it is so very important.

A positive aspiration is when we enter the lip, face etc and pull back on the plunger before we push any filler or other product that requires it and hold to ensure we have not hit or entered a vein or artery or other structures. When we do not have a flash of blood then we can push in the product.

This still cannot give 100% accuracy but with our training of facial anatomy, we try as much as possible to prevent a positive aspiration but other times we are just unlucky as we cannot see under the skin and not all structures are exactly where we think they are.

What happens when we get a positive aspiration?

We take out the needle re adjust and do the same again. If the blood has entered the syringe we throw away the contaminated product and have to use a brand new one.

Please be safe in the knowledge that I always take safety very seriously to try and prevent this or anything else from happening but things can happen which we cannot avoid.
