We’ve been working behind the scenes to give the MI Makeup Academy website a much needed update, and it’s finally ready to share. 🫶🏼

As MI has grown and evolved, so has everything we offer, and we wanted our website to reflect that.

We’ve refreshed the design, updated our information and made it easier for you to find exactly what you’re looking for, whether that’s learning your own makeup, becoming a professional makeup artist, developing your existing skills, growing your business or booking your next glam.

From our makeup lessons and accredited courses to our Training Days and makeup services, everything is now in one place and much easier to explore.

It might not be a brand new website, but it feels like a very exciting new chapter for MI. ✨

Today is a pretty special day!! 🧚

Iv made my final business loan payment for MI Makeup Academy and rather than just sharing the “YES, I PAID IT OFF!” part, I wanted to talk about something we don’t see enough of online.

The financial side of building a business.

Because social media makes owning a business look very glamorous. You see the launches, the clients, the students, the nice studio, the exciting opportunities, but you don’t see every financial decision that got you there.

Taking out that loan was a big decision for me. I had a vision for what I wanted MI Makeup Academy to become, and I believed that investing into the business would help me build it.

But with that came responsibility.
Repayments.
Planning.
Budgeting.
Sacrifices.
And plenty of moments where I had to trust that I’d made the right decision.

And that’s probably one of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt from running a business:
You can dream as big as you want, but you also have to understand your numbers.

Every investment needs a reason.
Every financial decision has consequences.
And sometimes growth requires taking a calculated risk, not a reckless one.

So today, the final payment has been paid, I’ll be celebrating more than just paying it off. I’ll be celebrating the business decisions I’ve made, the lessons I’ve learnt and the fact that something I took a risk on has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. 🖤🖤

And if you’re building your own business right now, I hope this reminds you that what you see online is only a tiny part of the story.

Keep building. Keep learning. Keep looking at the numbers. And don’t be afraid to invest in your vision when the numbers make sense. 🫶🏼🧚
