Hiya I’m Jay, the owner of BLINK lash and beauty bar in Rotherham, and a mum of three.

Juggling family life, being my own boss and doing something I have a passion for is my biggest achievement to date. I was destined to do something with art, it was the only subject at school I looked forward to! 🎨🖌️

Having a bit of a mindset revelation during and after lockdown, I threw myself into the unknown with about £200 to my name. I knew for the kids sake, I had to make this work or I was going to lose my entire client base as I had no space to work from! This is literally what put bread on the table for us. I bit the bullet and put an offer in on a little commercial unit in the village🫣

I created BLINK as a welcoming salon with a friendly; non judgemental atmosphere and a safe space for women (and men) to come and get pampered. I was solo at first and started asking around for techs with more than short course qualifications. I wanted girls who were passionate and wanted to make it their career not just a side hustle! And I did just that, ever growing🙏🏼

The girls that work for me all hold college qualifications, which have taken years to achieve. You cannot qualify in anything beauty overnight, it’s unsettling! Our girls have had in depth anatomy and physiology training both theory and practical, with many years experience in their specialist areas! I also hold national vocation in salon hygiene which means you’re in the best hands during your time here☑️

I can’t stress enough how important it is that you leave with the most perfect nails/brows/lashes/facials. We thrive off your smile at the end of the treatment, it’s what makes us adore our job🙋🏼‍♀️

To say we are just a bunch of down to earth Rotherham girls, Id like to think we can change the way you see the beauty industry❤️

I myself can be so nervous in busy, public places. So it was vital the salon had a calm, personal feel. And I’m sure that’s been achieved here 🫶🏽
