Pastels are quietly creeping back in, and I’m not mad about it. This dreamy gradient of soft lavender and pastel pink melting into crushed velvet cat’s eye shimmer is giving ethereal with a side of sparkle. Built on a CJP acrylic base for that strength and structure my clients know and love, and finished with the forever popular metallic gold outline—because yes, you all keep asking for it 💅

Created using SBD London’s crushed velvet cat’s eye gel, this set is a gentle nudge into spring while still holding onto winter’s shimmer. She’s soft, she’s luxe, and she’s got that quiet confidence.

I’m arriving a little late with this message, and you may have noticed I’ve been a bit quieter on here.

Being a nail tech or your own boss isn't always sunshine and rainbows. The truth is....

Social media loves to show sunshine, sparkles, and perfectly polished nails — but real life isn’t always that glossy. Behind the scenes, I manage chronic conditions that affect me every single day, including fibromyalgia, Raynaud’s, and FND. These impact my memory, my speech, my energy levels, and come with constant pain, even when my hands hurting they are still creating beautiful sets. We won't even get started on the mum life dramas.

Sometimes I forget what I was saying mid‑conversation, lose my words, or struggle to recall the client before. It can make me feel less articulate than I’d like, but I promise the passion and care behind every set never changes.

So if you don’t see me posting, it’s simply because I’m either resting or don’t have the mental capacity to put a full post together that day.

✨ Road Kill(aka Bambi & Thumper)strikes again

Every Christmas, this client insists on her beloved duo—even though she knows I lovingly refer to them as road kill 😂. Character art isn’t my strongest suit (massive respect to the techs who nail it every time!), but with a little stencil magic to trace the outlines, I managed my best one yet. Progress, not perfection, right?

That extra time saved meant I could go all in on the rest: airbrushed snowy fades, glitter snowflakes, crisp French tips, and rhinestone sparkle to finish it off. A festive mix of chaos and charm—just how we like it 💅❄️

This acrylic set was all about festive flair on a budget! Nail art doesn’t have to be hand-painted to be fabulous—this client wanted something Christmassy and iconic, so we tailored the design to suit her needs. A cheeky Grinch decal helped us save time and cost without compromising on impact. Paired with hand painted candy cane stripes, glittery greens, and a twinkly tree, it’s giving Whoville realness with a side of sass.

To my fellow nail techs: we’re in the thick of it. The Christmas rush is no joke—fully booked schedules, endless design requests, everyday life, and all the school plays and festive chaos. Only 2 weeks to go… we’ve got this 💪 I think 🤣
