Over the past 12 months, energy and goods prices have risen considerably, and are set to rise ever more with the latest budget update.

I don’t buy into the whole money grabbing mentality! As a result, I’ve kept the prices as low and fair as possible for as long as I possibly can. With further increases to shop overheads, I have to rise the price of walk-in services in the shop.
I’ve researched the prices of competitors, knowing what they charge, I can ensure you that our prices will remain highly competitive with the others locally.

As ever they will reflect the best value for money with the high standard of service we deliver to each and every customer 🤝

The new prices will come into effect from the 1st of December 2025.

In honour of my Great Great Grandad, who fought and died in WW1, and all our Armed Forces past and present.

With so much change happening in the shop this year, I just want to let everybody know about how our services and pricing works at present.

• Walk-ins are the heart and soul of our business and are always available Monday-Saturday.

Walk-ins are charged at a fix price across all Barbers, as the walk-in service can sometimes come with a wait, this is reflected in the price, meaning that the walk-in service is the lowest prices we have to offer for the same quality service you can expect from Claytons of Rothwell.

The best days to avoid waits while using the walk-in service are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we have two Barbers on walk-ins those days.

• Our booking service is a new addition to the shop and due to it’s demand since going live we’ve now been able to extend this service throughout the week, the service is live between 5 and 6 days a week across all the Barbers in the shop now.

Jack is available to book Monday-Wednesday and every other Saturday.

Rob is available to book Thursday and Friday, the rest of the week Rob is looking after all walk-ins.

Adam looks after all walk-ins Monday-Friday and is available to book on the Saturdays he’ll be working and will always give everyone the heads up on these days well in advance.

The booking service is a premium service and is priced at a slightly higher rate than the walk-in service as it gives you the ability to skip the queue!

We run to a tight schedule with the booking service, please arrive in good time for your booking, if you are running late please let us know, anyone running 4-5 minutes late may loose their booking as this can cause a knock on affect for all the following bookings that day.

Any time that the Barber running bookings has no bookings during the day, they will be able to take walk-ins up to their next appointment.

After 4 years of hard graft, managing a walk-in only service in the shop, whilst looking for the right barbers I believe in and can trust to be able run a booking service along side the renowned walk-in service to the standards I expect for all my customers.

I have finally found that with Jack And Rob, they are a privilege to have working along side me in the shop and I firmly believe we all have a shared vision when it comes to all our customer’s experience whilst they are with us.

This confidence in them has provide me an opportunity to take back some time with my beautiful young family that need my time just as much as anything else.

I will still be working Monday to Friday covering all the walk-ins, however I will be having time with my family most Saturdays from now on.

The Saturdays I will be working however, I am please to officially announce, I will be taking bookings on those Saturdays. Yes you can now officially book an appointment with myself!

The dates I will be available to book as of now are as follows;
08/11/2025 - 29/11/2025 - 20/12/2025 -
03/01/2026 - 17/01/2026
More dates will be available in the new year.

We have some fantastic news for the shop!

1.
Rob has now decided to join us full time and will be working 6 days a week in the shop Monday-Saturday, his booking days are Thursday and Friday with him covering walk-ins the rest of the week.

2.
Jack has now decided to join us every other Saturday with his first working Saturday being the 1st of November (this Saturday), he will be taking bookings on those Saturdays also.

This means that Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday we are fully staffed with two barbers covering walk-ins and one on bookings, so those would be ideal days for anyone looking to avoid any waiting 😁👍

We now also offer a booking service 6 days a week now.

We’ve had a lot of queries regarding parking with the recent changes to paying for parking in Rothwell.

Just to clarify, we still have free parking opposite the shop and there is plenty of free parking if you can’t get parked in there, just up and down the road, all circled in green.

It’s hard enough in this industry being a local business, it’s little unfair for local businesses with this paid parking situation but we best get used to it.
