☀️ Summer Hair Care Guide ☀️

These tips are for everyone - whether you wear hair extensions or not. Having a good hair care routine and protecting your hair during the warmer months is essential for maintaining healthy, beautiful hair and extending its longevity.

One of the biggest causes of blonde hair extensions (and blonde hair) turning pink, peach or orange isn’t the sea or the sun… it’s actually your sunscreen.

Certain chemical UV filters, particularly Avobenzone and Octocrylene, can transfer from your skin onto your hair. When exposed to UV light, they may react with minerals present on the hair, causing stubborn staining that can be difficult to remove.

To help prevent this, I always recommend choosing a mineral sunscreen containing Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide wherever possible. These ingredients are much less likely to cause unwanted discolouration.
