The Barbers shop

We provide services like cut throat shaving, Hair colouring and perms. Our go to products are Mainly fudge, we supply beard oils and various products. From the age of three all i ever remember wanting to be was a hairdresser it was in my blood there was no one in my family that was interested in hairdressing. So for my mum & dad they didn't know where it had come from but for hours i would be combing my dolls hair so by the age of 13 i started working in my local hairdressers as a saturday girl. They could see the potential in me so by the time i was 15 i was offered the chance to be their apprentice . I couldn't wait to start, the 7th of August 1972 arrived and i must say it was three very hard years, low wages but i didn't care because as i say to all todays generation once you have your apprenticeship paper and qualifications there is no one who can take them away from you . In 1974 while at Corby college i was given student of the year award i must say that was a very proud moment for me and my parents because while at Corby college i also entered many hair competitions and won many prizes then in 1975 i was offered a job working in Cottingham / Middleton
