Acne is NOT caused by just not washing your face!

Yes, skincare can play a role. BUT acne is so much more complex than skincare.

It's a whole system problem.

❔️Is there a gut problem?
❔️Is it a cortisol / stress problem?
❔️Is it linked to s*x hormones?
❔️Is it linked to stress hormones?
❔️Is lifestyle playing a role in this?

Acne is often a symptom of a much wider issue that is showing up on the skin. So whilst skincare does sometimes contribute, this is more of a skin health issue rather than a true 'causation of acne'.

Please be kind to anyone you see who has acne. You never know how it's affecting someone's mental health 🩷

Not all oily skin is due to using the wrong moisturiser, BUT it could just be a simple fix 🪄

If you naturally have normal or fairly oily skin or acne prone skin, then thicker emollients may be too rich for your skin to handle.

If you feel like I'm speaking directly to you, have a look at the ingredients list to see if your moisturiser contains these ingredients > shea butter, beeswax, cocoa butter, lanolin, coconut oil.

A good quality moisturiser would have some of these ingredients:
- ceramides
- lipids, fatty acids, cholesterol
- glycerin
- hyaluronic acid
- squalene
- triglycerides
