But what ultimately lead to this point was the community behind it all.

The permanent makeup industry is awesome. I’m so grateful to be a part of it.

To Hannah Walker, well, what can I say. This award is all thanks to you. Thank you for teaching me how to love lip blushing. I finished competing with over an hour to spare! And thank you too, for inviting me to assist with your demo, it’s was such a privilege and I’m overwhelmed by your faith in me. Forever grateful for you and the friend you have become.

And the rest of the crew (you know who you are!) new and old faces, with the biggest hearts and smiles. I take such joy from spending time in your company and I’m so glad our paths have crossed. Thanks for putting up with my incessant wittering!

The non-stop demos both on the stage and in the room were incredible. I have, once again been blown away by so much talent in one space.

Doing a live competition takes balls. Each and every person that took part in the competition is a winner. And we all win, everyday, inspiring confidence in our clients hour after hour.

So here’s to you - we did it, together ♥️

Who said permanent makeup has to be bold? Soft and delicate, just the way I like it ♥️

Hear me out. This perimenopause is wreaking havoc with my emotions! I don’t know if anyone else is feeling the same right now, but the world feels like a scary place. World struggles, seem to be at an all time high. Trauma, devastation, more and more anxiety rising. Sometimes, it feels heavy and never ending.

And all I’m doing is sitting over here drawing on peoples faces. I could let that sentence take hold and root with the supposed banality of my profession. But here’s where I want to change it up. We all have to carry on, keep going and make the best of it. Some might say that it is just that, “drawing on peoples faces”; unnecessary frivolity and vanity. I disagree. When you spend the day at work and hear “my late husband would have been so proud of me, doing this for myself” or, “I can finally look in the mirror, smile and see the old me”. That is priceless.

I guess what I’m trying to say, is, let’s all try and judge a little less? Allow everyone the opportunity to be seen and feel good in themselves in a world that can be pretty darn tough. Let’s find the glimmers where we can ♥️

So blummin’ proud of this one for perfecting her hairstroke technique with me today.

It’s safe to say she absolutely nailed it. Leaving feeling confident, excited and ready to start her hairstroke journey, one set of brows at a time.

I, for one, can’t wait to see what beautiful brows she will create.

The goal was to define the lip outline, restore lost colour and to keep it natural. I think we might have nailed it!
