This is the dad in a 'race against time' after being denied a second round of treatment to give him a chance at beating a grave illness💔😥.

Sean, 40, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in February 2024 after suffering from chronic fatigue and swollen gums.

Despite a seemingly successful stem cell transplant, the Runcorn dad has relapsed twice, with the aggressive blood cancer now spreading. UK doctors have told him no more standard treatments are available, leaving his family racing to raise £150,000 for private treatment in Germany.

Sean argues that the NHS is using outdated, 12-year-old policy data to deny younger, fit patients a second chance at life. Without the procedure, Sean's condition is terminal, but he refuses to give up on his little boy💪.

"Everybody should get offered a second chance," Sean said.

"The German health system funds the second transplants because there's evidence that it can work. Now, if it can work, then all you need is that chance. All you need is that one chance, and it's better than having no chance. I've got a little baby, I've got to do everything I can to be with him. I just want to watch him grow up. I feel like I'm being denied that from my own country." 😭❤️

Hospitals treating Sean referred the policy to NHS England, who state that treatment decisions are made between patients and clinicians in line with regularly reviewed guidelines. Determined to fight the disease, Sean's loved ones are begging the public to help fund his trip to Germany.

"I'm a young lad," Sean added. "I'm fit and strong. I can take another transplant."
