Popped to Irthlingborough to get a takeaway from the superb Hero*Ji restaurant (if you live locally but haven't tried, give them a try), and came across this bee inspired piece of street art by the local yarn bombers. Chapeau Yarn bombers! - great work!

Loyd and I are going to take a well deserved day off tomorrow (Sunday 15th June). We're off for a day out and some much needed time away from all things beekeeping, Loyd especially, who's been working extremely hard the past few weeks to get the honey harvested and making it available in the shops we supply. Not only that but there's been swarm callouts and numerous enquiries via FB and WhatsApp messages too.
Please, if you have a swarm tomorrow, consider contacting another local beekeeper.
If you have any issues with bumblebees, wasps or honey bees in your property, please, again, refer to our previous posts in this regard.

At this time of year we're very busy either at our many apiaries or out on swarm callouts. If you call either Loyd or Kathy, regarding a swarm and don't receive an answer, then please either leave a voicemail, txt, WhatsApp/FB message. Preferably leave some key details, a brief description of the swarm e.g. approximate size, it's location and height so we know what equipment to bring. As you can see in our recent video post we can be somewhat distracted. We're more likely to pick up messages that we can respond to quickly and get to you within the hour rather than phone calls that don't get picked up from either party. When we are really busy with multiple call outs we triage them according to priority based upon public nuisance/safety considerations - but we can usually respond to most call outs within an hour.
