Em-Brace Beauty

This means only one thing, I can actually get into the beauty room. It's going to take a fair bit of sorting and cleaning. I've already moved quite a few dead spiders, but we are finally getting there.

Last Thursday, I attended my first crystal singing sound bath. I kinda of knew what to expect as in there would be different sounds on different frequencies and relaxation. I looked up a bit after I saw somewhere that if you have plate/pins in your body, you shouldn't have it done, but I was completely fine as it wasn't directly over me. The hour went so quickly, and I was so snuggled with my pillow , blanket & hoodie up. Next time, I will take a thicker blanket, though, as I started to get a bit chilly near the end. The session started with a guided meditation, followed by all the sounds. Whilst I didn't doze off or completely clear my mind, I felt so relaxed afterwards and know I will probably train my mind to do this overtime. I'm definitely hoping I can make the next one ♡♡

Today with it being Mother's day here in the UK, I want to talk a bit about self care. Now self care is 100% important for everyone but when you become a mother or care giver you tend to put on various different hats and try to handle stuff like your an octopus with 8 arms - but unfortunately we don't.

I love my babies with all my heart but sometimes I just need a break for them. Then I feel guilty for wanting this break. I haven't had a night without them all since , well never I don't think I have since the boys came along but last weekend I had the best girls getaway weekend in London. 2 nights and 3 days kid free and it was heaven. I was Emma, again!! We based our weekend around 'The plaza suite ' show that we booked tickets for, as we worked out if we travelled up on the morning of the maintee show we would be rushing and stressed so an extra day& night before was just perfect.

Fri - we did touristy bits, went for a meal in Bella Italia with a cocktail. Which I did have to complain about as they either gave us no alcohol or the wrong thing. This was part of my aim for this year, to be assertive, know my worth and don't settle for anything than what is described!! They corrected it and we went on our happy way.

Sat - we got up , got breakfast and started getting ready for the show and a meal straight afterwards in Gino D'acampo's restaurant. Show was hilarious, so much funny than expected and it had one of my idols in it - the one and only Sarah Jessica Parker - a.k.a Carrie Bradshaw and her husband & actor Matthew broderick. I loved it and it was so much better than I had hoped. Meal after was lovely & so tasty- not going to lie staff are rather rude/arrogant but that wasn't going to spoil our fun or the beautiful meal we had enjoyed.

Then came to moment of a lifetime.......
We met Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick ❤💕♥

It still doesn't feel real but we did. We waited at stage door for them to do signings. S*x and the city is my favourite show ever and I can't believe I've met Carrie Bradshaw.
This week although I've been tired ,it's given my the drive to focus on my family time more and think of ways to include more fun into our house ♡

Have you done anything to celebrate ? I did have an eye appointment which I ended up having to cancel last min as my lil man threw up all over me & had a temperature. He was crying uncontrollable aswell so couldn't leave him with my mum as planned.

This year I am trying to make myself a prority especially with my health so I need to rebook my appointment, plus I want to pick my new glasses up too.

For me to be the best woman for my family I need to look after me. Look out for my next post talking all about my girls weekend away and how I feel renewed if not a lil bit tired 😴

Reopening is getting closer. Eekk.....work has really progressed on the house this week so I'm getting my business hat on ready.
