ā€œJust help me if I need anythingā€ is probably the LEAST useful job description you can give your bridal party šŸ˜‚

Your girls, they’re lovely. They’re willing to help. But they probably don’t really know HOW to help. And maybe you don’t know how they should either 😬

But I can tell you this: you don’t wanna be calling out for people (wondering ā€˜where have they even gone?!’), asking for things, answering questions and managing the morning - you really shouldn’t have had to.

Most people have never been part of a wedding morning before. How would they know what the bride needs?

So. I’m working on a lil’ something to help my future brides brief their bridal parties properly - because ā€œI’ll help if you need meā€ isn’t quite the same as anticipating what you’ll need, is it 🤣

Your hair doesn’t have to behave like someone else’s to look incredible on your wedding day.

My client arrived with freshly washed, completely product-free hair - she normally relies on product in her curly hair, so seeing it without anything in it felt very strange.

But this was actually the perfect starting point for me šŸ™ŒšŸ»

Rather than trying to fight her natural texture, we could see exactly what her hair needed and build the smoothness, control and finish from there.

Your hair isn’t ā€œdifficultā€. It just needs the right preparation.

And that’s rather different šŸ¤

What does your hair do that you’ve spent years trying to ā€œfixā€?

I could have built a much more practical studio 😬

There could be more chairs, less space around them, cheaper finishes.

A room that looked like… well, a room for doing hair and makeup 🤣

But I wasn’t interested in building somewhere to simply work.

I wanted to create somewhere that felt different the moment you walked through the door.

Somewhere quieter, more private and oh so considered.

Somewhere you can put your phone down, take a breath and feel that, for this little while, someone else is holding things for you.

Every decision - from the layout to the lighting, the materials, to the amount of space I’ve deliberately left around you - was made with that feeling in mind.

Because yes, I needed somewhere beautiful to create incredible hair and makeup šŸ™ŒšŸ»

But that was never the whole point. YOU were.

And she’s finally ready šŸ¤

Imagine finding a bridal artist whose work is technically brilliant but you feel slightly uncomfortable around them…

Or someone whose work you adore but they don’t make you feel listened to 😢

This is why I want you to see me working before you book me.

You’re choosing the person who’ll be standing beside you on one of the most photographed, emotional and slightly chaotic (ahem, not on my watch!) mornings of your life.

So yes, you should love their work but I think you should also LIKE them ā™„ļø

Because technically brilliant + wrong personality fit is still the wrong fit.

Which is exactly why I thought I’d let you watch me work for a minute rather than simply tell you what I’m like.

No polished sales pitch.
Just a fairly accurate glimpse of the energy I bring into the room.

Still here? We might be a beautiful match⭐

The hardest wedding decisions aren’t always the big ones. They’re the ones where you keep thinking, ā€œBut how do I know what’s right?ā€

There is no shortage of wedding advice online.

What can be much harder to find is someone who understands your situation well enough to help you make sense of it.

Because you don’t need to become an expert in weddings (hell, we only do this once, right?!)

You just need good people around you who can help you make decisions with confidence šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

And sometimes, the most useful thing an experienced professional can say is simply:

ā€œFor you? I’d do this.ā€

What’s one wedding decision you’ve found yourself overthinking? I’d love to break it down for you ā™„ļø

I fear some of you are being given absolutely terrible bridal advice…

So, naturally, I’ve put together a little guide šŸ˜‚

Do these things if you’d like to feel rushed, overwhelmed and mildly betrayed by your own Pinterest board.

Otherwise…

read the slides šŸ‘€

20 years of wedding mornings have taught me that beautiful and enjoyable wedding mornings aren’t an accident.

They’re the result of a lot of little things being thought through before the day.

And yes, I have opinions about them 🫶

Save this one. Your future wedding-morning self will thank you šŸ™ xx

Your bridal Pinterest board might actually be making things harder. 😬

Because when you’ve got hundreds of images saved, you’re not necessarily getting closer to knowing what you want.

You’re getting better at knowing what other people look good in.

There’s a difference.

Your inspiration should help you communicate a feeling - not become a set of instructions for recreating somebody else’s face, hair and wedding.

So if you’re currently thinking:

ā€œI don’t know what suits me.ā€
ā€œI don’t know what I actually like anymore.ā€
ā€œEverything looks beautiful and now I like nothing.ā€

You’re not failing at choosing your bridal look.

You’ve probably just consumed too much bridal content 🫶

And that’s precisely where having an expert who can look at you, rather than another Pinterest picture, becomes valuable.

Consider yourself un-brainwashed šŸ˜‰
