A little about me ✨

I thought I would just make a little post to introduce myself and share a little about me.

My names India and I’m a Beauty and Massage Therapist. I have been in the industry for nearly 7 years and I have worked in both spas and salons. Within that time I have completed my Level 2 and Level 3 in Beauty and Spa Therapy along with multiple other additional courses which I still plan on adding to. I love offering tailored relaxing treatments with my favourites being massage and facials.

For almost two years now I have been working as a massage therapist at the beautiful Cowshed spa at Babington house which is part of Soho house group. While being at Cowshed I’ve learned so much working alongside such amazing therapists and have had the chance to complete further training in many treatments such as LED Light Therapy, Hydra Facial and Acupressure ear seeds.

I still work from the spa 4 days a week but have recently made the exciting decision to offer my own treatments alongside by working from Cloud nine in Amesbury. In the salon I have my own cosy room where I offer a range of massage and facial treatments.

When I’m not at work I love to spend time with friends and family and really enjoy quiet days at home with my cat. I also love shopping for homeware and have recently rediscovered my obsession with Facebook marketplace.

Rooted in the principles of Chinese medicine, ear seeds are an ancient tool that may support a broad spectrum of health concerns by way of aiding restful sleep, assisting emotional well-being, helping you to relax, and supporting your immunity, focus, energy levels, and digestion.

Ear seeds are a form of auriculotherapy, which is the stimulation of specific points of the ear to support physical and emotional health concerns. They are a needle-free form of acupuncture that have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years. TCM teaches that the ear is a microsystem of the whole body, where certain points on the ear correspond to different organs or body parts. Energy pathways (or ‘qi’ or vital life energy) pass through the ear and ear seeds stimulate specific points which send an abundant flow of energy to the related organ or area that needs attention. Think of it like reflexology, but for the ears instead of feet.

Ear seeds also create continual, gentle pressure on nerve impulses in the ear which send messages to the brain that certain organs or systems need support. The brain will then send signals and chemicals to the rest of the body to support whatever ailments you’re experiencing, releasing endorphins into the bloodstream, relaxing the nervous system, and naturally soothing pain and discomfort.
