One of my gorgeous brides from earlier this year 🩷

Honestly, this part of the job will always matter more to me than social media ever does.

Last year one of my posts went a bit mad and my page grew really quickly, which I’m honestly so grateful for because it brought so many lovely people here. But I think it also made me feel this weird pressure to constantly post more, keep up, and somehow become good at social media too 🄓 and if you know me, you know that’s not me at all!

I love makeup. I love helping people feel more confident. I love the actual job and all the little moments in it. But I don’t love feeling like every second needs turning into content, especially now everything online feels so overdone and fake and full of AI crap.

I’d rather be doing the work than constantly filming it and properly in the room with people instead of thinking about what angle to get something from or whether I’ve posted enough that week.

So if I’m a bit quieter on here sometimes, that’s probably why. And I’m busy, it’s wedding season, cut me some slack 🤣

So if you’re looking for a makeup artist who’s more focused on making you feel comfortable than turning your wedding morning into a production set, we’ll probably get on! I always love having photos to share afterwards, but in the moment, you having a lovely morning matters more to me.

Most women don’t actually need completely new makeup.

They just need a bit of a reset.

I hear this all the time from clients in my chair. Their foundation doesn’t sit the same anymore, eyeliner feels harder to do than it used to, or they’ve spent money on products that never quite work.

Usually the problem isn’t that you’ve forgotten how to do your makeup. Your skin has changed a little over time, but your routine hasn’t really changed with it. And the beauty industry is very good at convincing us that the answer is always to buy something new.

That’s exactly why I’ve created my 1:1 Makeup Reset Lessons.

They’re perfect if your routine hasn’t been updated in years, or if you feel like the products you’re buying never quite work the way you hoped they would.

During the lesson we’ll go through your makeup bag together, chat about what’s working and what isn’t, and I’ll show you simple techniques that you can easily recreate at home.

Nothing complicated. Just flattering makeup that feels fresh, natural and works for real life. Makeup that enhances what’s already there, without feeling heavy or overdone.

The lesson is Ā£110, and afterwards I’ll send you a personalised list of the products I’d recommend for you, so you know what’s actually worth buying in future.

Considering how much people often spend trying products that never quite work, most clients find a lesson saves them money in the long run.

I’m opening 5 lesson slots to begin with.

I’m really fussy about mascara and constantly trying new ones to find ā€˜the one’.

This is my current everyday one. It’s properly black, gives volume without clumping and it genuinely stays put.

And I really like the brush. It’s smaller and easier to control, which makes such a difference if you have shorter or finer lashes.

It’s a serum mascara as well, so I’m going to use it consistently for the full 12 weeks it recommends and see how my natural lashes look over time. I’ll share an honest update 😘

Foundation isn’t one product and it isn’t one brand. It’s about choosing something that suits your skin, your undertone and the occasion you’re wearing it for. Wedding morning skin is different to a black tie event, and both are different again to everyday makeup.

These are just some of the formulas currently in my kit, from Haus Labs to Armani Luminous Silk, NARS Radiant Longwear and MAC Face & Body.

I choose based on your skin type, your undertone, the finish you like, how it needs to photograph and the lighting you’ll be in. There isn’t one best foundation. There’s the right one for the person in front of me.

This is only a glimpse of what’s in there. My kit is built to cater for a full range of skin tones and skin types and it evolves constantly. That’s part of being a working artist, not just owning products but knowing how to use them properly.

Makeup lessons. Coming soon šŸ”œ

I don’t do ā€˜copy and paste’ bridal party makeup.

EVERY bridesmaid is treated as an individual.

How you normally wear your makeup, your skin tone, your features, your comfort level. All of that gets taken into account in the few minutes we chat before we start.

The goal isn’t identical faces. It’s a bridal party that feels cohesive, polished and effortless together, while everyone still looks like themselves on their best day.

I don’t want you to feel overdone. I don’t want you to feel like a stranger in the mirror. Everyone looking like themselves on their best day, with the bride still shining exactly where she should šŸ‘°

Soft skin, gentle definition, timeless makeup that feels like you.

Bridal makeup should enhance, not overpower, (especially when you’ll be looking back at these photos forever) šŸ¤

Mascara shouldn’t be this hard šŸ‘€

(and makeup doesn’t have to be confusing either)

Five formulas. Five different needs.

From drugstore through to luxury - all makeup artist approved.

If you’re new to makeup (or just want things to work), this is exactly where to start.

Swipe, save, and tell me if I’ve missed your holy grail šŸ¤

And if you ever want help figuring out what actually suits you, that’s coming too!

Side note: the one I’m personally using right now is the Maybelline one in burgundy…so good if black feels a bit harsh.
