Something you might not know about me...🌹

Although nails are a big part of what I do, Radiant Rose Beauty Room is so much more.

One day I am creating a set of minimal BIAB nails, the next I am doing a facial, lash lift, brows or helping someone switch off with a massage.

I love the variety but my favourite part is the person sitting in front of me. ❤️

Some clients want a good natter, some need quiet time, and some just want to be looked after for a while.

That is exactly what I wanted my little beauty room to be — professional, personal and somewhere you can feel comfortable being yourself.

I am always learning, trying new techniques, keeping up with the industry and looking for ways to make your treatments even better.

And yes… I still get ridiculously excited about new nail colours. 😂

Do I actually need a reason to book a beauty appointment?

Apparently, we like to have a reason - a holiday, a birthday, a wedding, a night out, christmas.

But what about…

“I fancied having my nails done.” 💅

“My skin needed a little love.” 🌸

“My shoulders were feeling a bit tight.” 💆‍♀️

“I had an hour free and decided to use it for me.” ❤️

Surely that's reason enough?

I think we can sometimes make looking after ourselves feel like something we have to earn or justify.

You don't need somewhere special to go afterwards, you don't need an occasion and you definitely don't need permission. 😂

Sometimes it's just nice to feel a little more put together, have a chat, switch off for an hour or simply enjoy being looked after.

So if you have been waiting for a good enough reason…perhaps wanting to is enough. 🌹

You know you have been coming to me for a while when… 😂🌹

You walk in and make yourself comfortable.

We carry on a conversation from three weeks ago as though it happened yesterday.

You already know what drink you want.

I can probably guess which colour you are going to choose…

And sometimes we spend the whole appointment chatting.

Sometimes you close your eyes and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.

Either way, you feel completely at home.

One of my favourite parts of Radiant Rose Beauty Room is getting to know the lovely people who come through my door. The treatments are important, of course, but so are the conversations, laughs and little moments in between. ❤️

Ladies… honestly, you don't need to apologise. ❤️

Life happens. Work gets busy, children need things, holidays come and go, gardening takes over and sometimes looking after yourself simply ends up at the bottom of the list.

There is no judgement here.

If your nails need a little tidy up, your feet need some attention, your skin needs a refresh or you just fancy being looked after for a while, that is all part of what I do.

Things I thought I would have mastered by 40...🤣

Remembering why I walked into a room.

Drinking a cup of tea while it’s still hot.

Knowing what day it is, especially after the school holidays.

Keeping the house tidy for longer than 12 minutes.

Putting something somewhere “safe” and then having absolutely no idea where that safe place is.

Not saying, “Where’s my phone?” while holding my phone.

Having a perfectly organised life because I run my own business…

Apparently, not quite there yet. 😂

Social media has a way of making everyone look like they have everything figured out, but most of us are just doing our best, juggling approximately 47 things and hoping nobody notices the chaos.

That's alright by me ❤️
