Important Notice‼️

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

As many of you know, I’ve been re-diagnosed with breast cancer. This time it is more aggressive and has spread. While my doctors are hopeful and confident it can be treated, the reality is that I am facing a long and difficult road ahead. I will be having major surgery at the end of January, followed by months of chemotherapy.

At the same time, my dad has also been diagnosed with cancer — and together these two things have changed everything for me.

After a lot of tears, soul-searching, and honest conversations with myself and my family, I’ve made the heartbreaking decision to close the salon.

Colour Queen has been so much more than a business to me. It has been my dream, my safe place, my community, and a huge part of who I am. For six years you have trusted me, laughed with me, cried with me, and supported me in ways I can never fully put into words. I will always be grateful for that.

But right now, I need to choose my health. I need to choose my family. And I need to give myself the space to heal and live, not just survive.

Colour Queen isn’t disappearing — it’s just changing. I will no longer be taking on new clients and my books will be closed for 2026 so I can step back and focus on recovery and what lies ahead.

I am so thankful that I can walk away from the salon without debt, and that is entirely because of your loyalty, love, and support over the years. You’ve truly given me something that will stay with me forever.

This is not the end — it’s the start of a new chapter. I’m already looking into training around hair loss and specialist colour work because I know, from my own journey, how powerful it is to feel like yourself when so much is taken away. One day I hope to be able to give that feeling back to others.

This page will stay open and I’ll still be here, but the phone number and Fresha account will be closing from February.
The team will continue working independently. Andrea, in particular, will be joining the lovely team at Billy’s Doll House, and I’ll be recommending clients to book with her there.

So this isn’t goodbye — it’s just me taking a step back to rest, heal, and fight this with everything I’ve got (doctor’s orders 🤍).
