The weather is awful and nail products are sometimes temperamental to work with in this heat. Techs perform differently in this heat, as do products. Temperature fluctuations can actually have more impact than we realise! Acrylic sets quicker so you have to work wetter which can affect retention. Gel is runnier which increases the risk of cuticle flooding and therefore retention.

If your appointment is going ahead, just to say come prepared, bring a bottle of cool water/refreshment, a hand held fan if you want, loose comfortable clothing, etc. I’ll have the fan running which will do as much as it possibly can. My blinds are down and have been all day so I’ve tried to keep it as cool as possible but unfortunately I can only do so much.

More importantly, every one of my client knows that I guarantee my work for a set amount of time. Unfortunately, if you’ve chosen to go ahead with your appointment and there are retention issues, I can’t do it on this occasion so I am reserving the right for any nail fixes to be charged at the usual rate, regardless of the time it happens. As much as I would love to, I just cannot control the weather! 😂
