The 1XI are back in league action this Saturday as they travel to Littletown Cricket Club, looking to build on recent performances and bring the points back to Dawdon.

🏏 U19s Match Report 🏏

Our U19s were also in action this evening as they made the short trip to Seaham Harbour Cricket Club in DCBJL Group B.

Batting first, skipper Cevat Sahin led from the front with a superb 64, while Jaxon Head finished unbeaten on 19* to help Dawdon post 127/6 from their 20 overs.

The home side made us work right until the very end, with the game going down to the final ball before Seaham Harbour edged home by 5 wickets.

The pick of the Dawdon bowling was Charlie Stott (2-12) and Ronnie Hart (1-19), while Cevat capped off a fantastic all-round performance with three catches behind the stumps to deservedly earn Player of the Match.

A tough result to take, but plenty of positives to build on from a hard-fought performance. Well played, lads!

🏏 U17s Match Report 🏏

A fantastic all-round team performance saw our U17s secure a 14-run victory over Burnmoor this evening at The Green Drive! 👏

Batting first, Dawdon posted a competitive 116/6 from our 20 overs. Kai Kennedy anchored the innings brilliantly with an unbeaten 37 from 34 balls*, while Vinnie Richards provided excellent support with 26 from 29 deliveries.

Our bowlers then made the perfect start, reducing Burnmoor to 27/6 thanks to a sensational opening spell. Charlie Stott was simply outstanding, claiming 4 wickets for just 6 runs from his 4 overs to put Dawdon firmly in control. 💥

Burnmoor fought back with a resilient 63-run partnership for the 7th wicket, but U13 player Ethan Lloyd stepped up to break the stand with an impressive 2/6, helping bowl Burnmoor out for 102 in the 19th over.

🏆 Result: Dawdon U17s won by 14 runs
