🏏 1XI KEEP THE WINNING RUN GOING! 🏏

Another win on the road for the 1XI as the lads come away from Hunwick Cricket Club with a 6-wicket victory! 🔥

Hunwick started well and, after restricting them to 138-6, the game looked to be going exactly to plan. Step forward Vice Captain Brad Robinson with the ball, who unfortunately helped the Hunwick score along a little further! 😂

To make up for it, Brad pulled off an outstanding catch — and he was very keen that we mentioned that! 👏

Hunwick eventually finished on 187-6 from their 45 overs.

In response, the lads couldn't have asked for a worse start, finding ourselves 0-2. 😬
But in walked Passi Thirimadura (88) and Matty Billyard (46), who produced a brilliant partnership of 135 for the 3rd wicket to completely turn the game around. 💪

The lads got home in the 36th over, finishing 190-4 and securing another important win.

🏆 Dawdon 1XI win by 6 wickets!

A massive well done to everyone involved — another fantastic team performance and the winning run continues! 💪

The 1XI are back in league action this Saturday as they travel to Littletown Cricket Club, looking to build on recent performances and bring the points back to Dawdon.

🏏 U19s Match Report 🏏

Our U19s were also in action this evening as they made the short trip to Seaham Harbour Cricket Club in DCBJL Group B.

Batting first, skipper Cevat Sahin led from the front with a superb 64, while Jaxon Head finished unbeaten on 19* to help Dawdon post 127/6 from their 20 overs.

The home side made us work right until the very end, with the game going down to the final ball before Seaham Harbour edged home by 5 wickets.

The pick of the Dawdon bowling was Charlie Stott (2-12) and Ronnie Hart (1-19), while Cevat capped off a fantastic all-round performance with three catches behind the stumps to deservedly earn Player of the Match.

A tough result to take, but plenty of positives to build on from a hard-fought performance. Well played, lads!
