When BIAB lifts or chips after a few days, it's rarely the product's fault.

It usually comes down to 3 technique traps that most techs don't realise they're doing:

1. Skipping proper prep โ†’ even tiny oils left behind will stop adhesion, leading to early lifting.

2. Flooding the cuticle area โ†’ creates a gap as it grows out, so the nail catches and chips.

3. Uneven structure โ†’ if the apex is too flat or in the wrong spot, the nail bends and breaks under pressure.

From the client's side, they'll just say "my nails don't last" and assume BIAB isn't for them.

But when these are corrected, their sets not only last weeks... they finally feel like they've found a nail tech they can trust.

The above set (green) is 3 weeks and ready for an infill

โœจ A little nail tech advice โœจ

Itโ€™s not all about speed, itโ€™s about accuracy, prep, and quality.
Speed only becomes an advantage after those things are in place.

Yes, I work fastโ€ฆ I always have. Partly due to my condition, itโ€™s just how Iโ€™m wired. But fast doesnโ€™t mean rushed, sloppy, or โ€œnot good enough.โ€ Every set is still done with care, precision, and attention to detail.

So if your nail tech is accurate and fast, thatโ€™s a win ๐Ÿ’…
Quality will always come first in my salon.

Thank you to everyone who trusts me with their nails

Have a fantastic New Year ๐ŸŽ‰

your nails chip, peel, or lift halfway through your set, it's not because BIAB doesn't last... it's usually one of these 4

1. You're skipping oil.
When the nail plate gets dry, it starts pulling away from the BIAB.
Daily oil keeps your nails flexible and helps the product stay sealed, so it can move with your natural nail instead of lifting off it.

2. You're treating them like tools.
Opening cans, picking labels, or using your nails to scrape things off will always end in breaks. Use a utensil, not your manicure.

3. You're not rebooking soon enough.
By week 3, your nails have grown enough that the product's balance shifts. That's when cracks, lifting, and breaks start to show.

Healthy nails don't just happen... they're maintained.

Make sure you book your next appointment before you leave, for BIAB tips that actually make your nails last
