Firstly, yes I do treat men! It’s a question I often get asked.

This is a before and after of my client who underwent surgery to remove a kidney due to cancer. He came for scar therapy after this first surgery, but something didn’t feel right so I advised him to go back to his surgeon.

Turns out he had a hernia that needed surgical repair, so these photos are both taken after the hernia repair when he came back for scar therapy treatment. In three sessions we have made the scar tissue softer and less visible.

Using the physio pro deep oscillation therapy and scar therapy massage techniques we have made some great improvements.

Google reviews are so important to sole traders and apparently we need at least 30 to start being seen! So if you’ve been for any kind of treatment with me and would like to leave a review then I would be very grateful. ☺️ Link below…

These are some screenshots of messages and emails that I received last month.

I wasn’t fishing for compliments (promise 😊) but it is so nice to get positive feedback when you’ve helped someone to feel a bit better after surgery or cancer treatment. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to help make a difference to their recovery xx

Treatment of a facial lipoma scar:

The first photo was taken at the end of the first treatment, at first it didn’t look like much change had been made. We had worked with the deep oscillation therapy and Restore scar therapy techniques.
I then gave my client homework - using silicone tape and a silicone brush for some regular self treatment at home.
She then came back for a follow up session, after the second session we took another photo and we were both pleasantly surprised to see the changes that had been made.

The scar tissue had released, it was less stuck, looking and feeling better, this was partly to do with the treatment but the difference between the photos also shows the importance of self-treatment between sessions at home.

I will always aim to give the client tips and techniques to use at home to help themselves.

Get in touch if I can help with your scar tissue.

Today I delivered a scar therapy presentation at Maidstone hospital to the oncology breast cancer team at their MDT meeting.

Grateful to have the chance to share the benefits of scar therapy and to encourage patients to massage their scars. There was lots of interest from the team which was great.

We also discussed ways to signpost people for help with treating scars and how to start scar massage if they can’t afford to pay for treatment.

I’ve shared some of my suggestions below for anyone who needs it:
- Download the oncio app - this is a free resource for cancer patients with loads of info and a free course of self treatment for scars from Emma Holly founder.
- If you can travel to London, check out the Future Dreams website for details of treatments on a sliding payment scale.
- And there is lots of DIY scar therapy advice on you tube.

If patients can afford private treatment then the restore scar therapy directory is the best place to find therapists. See the link in my bio. You will find me there and at Future Dreams.

Thank you to Emma for the presentation tips! And for the training in Oncology Scar Therapy which has lead me to this work which I absolutely love 🧡

Before and After treatment, this is a great outcome for my client, she came frustrated that a year after surgery she still struggled to reach the top shelf.

I have been treating her for a few sessions now and we have been focusing on the scars and relieving the discomfort around f them. But in this session we decided to focus on range of movement.

We used the deep oscillation therapy, lots of myofascial release and scar therapy.
My client now needs to keep up the benefit of this with some self treatment and stretches at home which I have shown her in our treatment session.

C-section scar therapy can be hugely beneficial after surgery. You may be suffering from any of the following:

*Aching around the scar area / abdomen
*Nerve pains, itching or numbness
*Tightness or restricted movement
*Body image issues / overhang
*Lower back or pelvic pain

So why not try a scar therapy session to see if we can relieve the symptoms. Contact me today!

And if you don’t have the childcare you can bring baby with you (as long as I can have a cuddle!) 🥰

Look at the difference we can make with just a few sessions! 🤩

This is a mastectomy scar which was uncomfortable, puckered, tight and quite red.

After 2 sessions (and some diligent homework from the client) the scar is now softer, smoother, less red and less puckered. It had also made an impact emotionally as my client now feels happier with her scar and isn’t noticing it all the time.

We can still make improvements with more sessions and she can continue the good work at home.

I am loving my scar therapy work and the difference that can be made. So if you know anyone with a troublesome scar please share this with them. If you’re looking for a therapist and you’re not local to me in Sevenoaks or London, then check out the therapist directory on the website to find someone in your area. (Link in bio)
