🏃🏼‍♀️ I’M RUNNING SHEFFIELD 10K FOR ACCT! 🧩💙

On 27th September, I’ll be running the Sheffield 10K and raising money for ACCT – Autistic Children and Carers Together and I’ve set myself a target of £200! 🥰

ACCT is a Sheffield charity that supports autistic children and their families, providing activities, groups and opportunities where children can have fun, build confidence and friendships, while parents and carers can access support and meet other families who understand. 💙

It’s such a worthwhile local charity and I’d absolutely LOVE to hit (or smash 👀) my £200 target.

And I’m just going to put this out there… 😂
Over the years EmmaJoyBeauty has donated more raffle prizes, vouchers and treatments to other people’s fundraisers than I can even remember — so I’m very subtly calling in those favours now 🤣👀 it’s my turn!

Even £5 makes a difference and if 40 people donated a fiver, I’d hit my whole target. 🥹

Also, considering a few weeks ago running any decent distance felt questionable, the fact I’m voluntarily running 10K should surely be worth a couple of quid alone 🤣🏃🏼‍♀️

💙 Raising money for ACCT – Autistic Children and Carers Together

✨ Not every appointment goes exactly to plan… but we always get there in the end! ✨

This lovely client started their first teeth whitening session but after just 15 minutes, my whitening machine decided it was retiring early and headed straight to teeth whitening machine heaven 😂🤦🏼‍♀️.

Once my new machine arrived, we completed the remaining 45 minutes from the first session, along with the full 60-minute second session and just look at these results! 🤍🦷

Sometimes things happen that are completely out of our control but making sure my clients receive the treatment they’ve paid for will always be my priority.

Thank you to my client for being so patient, and I’m so happy we achieved such a gorgeous, brighter smile in the end! ✨

Four years ago today, I walked into my first beauty course.

At the time, I had gone back into in healthcare after being let go from 111 and dropping out of university. I felt a little lost and overwhelmed, if I’m honest. I was trying to rebuild my life and create a better future for me and Oscar but I had no idea what that was going to look like.

Beauty wasn’t something I’d ever even considered. It all started because Caitlin said to me, “Why don’t you do lashes and come and work here?” She saw something in me before I saw it in myself and, four years later, she’s still been my unofficial mentor always there with advice, encouragement and support. I’ll always be grateful for that.

So I booked onto my first lash course.

I couldn’t have imagined where that one decision would lead.

What started with lashes has grown into brows, SPMU, skin treatments, teeth whitening, teaching and countless other courses along the way. More importantly, it’s given me a career I genuinely love, introduced me to some incredible people and helped me build a life that, four years ago, I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever have.
