Two for Joy Tarot

These flowers were gifted to me from a dear friend a couple of weeks ago, and they have brought me so much joy, standing vibrant, confident and bold amidst the clutter I've been living in! I nearly edited the mess in my kitchen (in all honesty it was actually far worse than it looks) out of this picture but decided to leave it in there. It's a nice reminder to me that true beauty and love really cuts through the chaos. It's also excellent motivation to make space for something that brings so much joy to let it shine in its glory - I eventually cleared the kitchen table🌹✨

Do something, be with someone, or be somewhere that brings you joy today. A simple way to love yourself.

Remember when I picked these bad boys (swipe 👉🏻)? Well, I never got around to carving them sadly, however I will be making a lot of pumpkin based dishes in the coming weeks! 🎃

I did, however, manage to throw together an autumnal wreath, a seasonal 'win' for me 😆

I thought I'd share with you the cards I pulled for myself for the day in 'quick fire' fashion, similarly to how the interpretations came to me. Sometimes this reading style works for me (quick, simple, not delving too deeply), other times a little more studying of the cards to find hidden messages and deeper meaning is required. If in the right frame of mind and vibrating at the right energy level though, this can be a great 'on the go' reading method.

To put this into perspective, I started the day ruminating a little and falling into negative thinking patterns, so tried to be mindful and bring myself back into a safe, present place. My plan for the day is to go food shopping and run a couple of errands once baba wakes up from her nap, maybe harvest some nasturtiums from the garden for soup if I have time, and rustle up a rum punch for a family get together happening this evening.

I feel the cards align beautifully with my plans (this isn't always the case of course, but I wanted to share this as an example of when this happens!), a no nonsense painting of the day ahead, also a great example of when the cards portray for us what we already know! I'm sure there'll be some surprises today and I'm sure if I were to meditate on the cards further there would be clues as to what they might be, but alas! No time today! Must push on! 😉
