What a wonderful evening we had last night at Zeds Wholefoods for their Meet the Maker event. 💚

It was such a pleasure to share the story behind Sheffield Skincare, talk about natural skincare, explain how our products are made, and chat with so many lovely people. Thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, shared your own skincare journeys and made the evening so enjoyable.

A huge thank you to Nicola and the entire Zeds team for inviting me and hosting such a fantastic event. We were treated to delicious kombucha, lovely nibbles and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It was a really special evening.

An extra special thank you to my partner Pete for being behind the camera all evening, capturing the photos and videos while I got to enjoy talking to everyone. Your support means everything.

I came away feeling incredibly grateful and proud of how far Sheffield Skincare has come. Thank you all for making it such a memorable Meet the Maker evening. I hope we'll see you again soon! 💚

Well, what a difference a day makes... we're all very thankful for a much cooler one today! 😅

Megan and Mary are all set up at the Orchard Square Makers Market with all your favourite natural skincare, handmade crystal jewellery and plenty of lovely gifts and treats.

Here at Sheffield Skincare HQ it's already 30°C in the building at 10am, and even our solid coconut oil has given up and turned itself into a liquid! 🌴☀️

Today's video is proof that nature doesn't always stick to the rules. Coconut oil naturally melts at around 24 to 26°C, so in this heat it doesn't stand a chance.

It's definitely a little too warm for making skincare today. Rather than battling melting ingredients and trying to work around the heat, I'll be spending the day packing orders and parcels before retreating back to my lovely cool terraced house.

The good news is that the shop is much cooler than HQ, so Sheffield Skincare is open as normal today and we'll be there ready to welcome you. Production, however, is taking a short weather induced pause for a few days until temperatures become a little more sensible!

If you're struggling in the heat too, remember to drink plenty of water, take things steady, and don't feel guilty about slowing down a bit. Even the coconut oil has decided enough is enough today! 😅🌡️

As British folk, we're never happy are we?
Too cold? We moan. Too wet? We moan. Too windy?

We moan. Now it's pushing towards 30 something degrees... and we're still moaning! 😂

But I've got a little cooling tip that's making this Yorkshire heat a bit more bearable...
Pop your Sheffield Skincare facial spritz in the fridge! ❄️

A quick chilled spritz on your face, neck and shoulders feels absolutely glorious when you've been melting in the sunshine. It's refreshing, hydrating and gives you a much needed cool down when the weather is trying its best to turn us all into puddles.

I'm keeping mine in the fridge all week and I highly recommend it!

Na then... who's still complaining it's too hot? 😆
