Alkimi and Aura

It is with great sadness that I share that our beautiful and vibrant founder Kim passed away on Saturday 27th September.
Though she had been unwell, it was unexpected, and hits particularly hard after my dad’s passing earlier this year in April. Her sparkle was felt by those around her, it left an indelible mark, and it will be greatly missed.

As a family she will leave an immeasurable gap in our lives along side that of my dad. But I find great comfort and joy in my husband, my daughters, my brother Tom and the wonderful family and friends that we have surrounding us. I have never felt more love.

I don’t know what this means for Alkimi & Aura but I strive to revive it in all it’s glory in honour of my parents - for my mum who put so much love, time and energy into this brand, and for my dad who was our fiercest cheerleader.

So let this not be a goodbye, but a see you later. And to mum (and dad), I love you so much 💕

We never expect to have such long gaps but here was area, almost a year since our last post. We thought that it was long overdue for us to come back and say "hi, we are still here! Just very quiet". Life has changed a lot and also not at all since we last came on here. ⁠
Kim has changed jobs, which is a new exciting venture working for a local GP as a Patient Care Co-ordinator. She has also had a fabulous year of holidays!⁠
For Saffy, things remain constant apart from her daughter constantly growing and changing. It's hard to keep up with a toddler...!⁠
⁠
Not much has changed for Alkimi & Aura either but there are a few things coming up that we thought worth a mention. ⁠

1. Today we are at the fair at the Workstation. We will have a stall of our products so please do come and say hello! Tickets to the event are £5 on the door.
⁠
2. We will be opening up the shop (finally) to begin the Christmas season from the first week of October. Keep your eyes open for some new bundles.⁠

3. How can we not mention the lovely photo of us taken by our wonderful and talented friend Fern at Take a look at her page the beautiful photos she has taken! You may spot a familiar face on there. ⁠

Hello and welcome to our new followers! We thought we would introduce ourselves again.
We are a mamma-daughter duo based in Sheffield. Kim established Alkimi & Aura in 2017, then a year later Saffy joined.
We make small batch natural beauty products and scented candles. Our beauty products have no chemicals or nasty ingredients in them. You will only find ingredients that nourish the skin and senses!
Our scented candles are made from eco-friendly soy wax from the UK and we only use essential oils.

We have had a very busy year getting used to a small person joining our team. As Christmas approaches, we we have opened the shop again.

We also have some wonderful stockists in Sheffield where you can pick up some of our products.

Wow! We had such a wonderful night on Thursday at the beautifully curated night by ✨It really is in good company - we met so many inspiring, creative and lovely women. We also have to mention the most delicious food by ! Thank you so much for inviting Kim to talk as a panellist, it was such an honour(!), and for letting Saf tag along. We both enjoyed it so much and can’t wait for another one! 💕

Some more serious talk about festive delivery times!

As the festive period fast approaches, we would recommend ordering any gifts by Wednesday 15th December at the very latest. This will allow for us to prep the order and get it shipped over the weekend of 18th and 19th.

We would also recommend the same for orders in time for New Years! ✨
