We get asked a lot about how your skin will look post laser hair removal session and what it feels like.

As we use the Cynosure Elite machine, often you get a little redness and sometimes small red bumps or slight swelling directly around the treated hair follicles (follicular edema). Which is completely normal and usually subsides within a few hours up to 1-2 days, depending on skin sensitivity.

During the treatment you may feel a sharp pinch sometimes likened to an elastic band ping sensation and others may not feel anything at all (just the chill of cold air from the cooler).
Mild warmth, tingling and some tenderness is normal in the treated area afterwards.

What’s important is to keep the areas cool, apply aloe Vera (or another cooling agent) if needed, staying away from hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense workouts for 48 hours. And always apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 if the treated area is exposed to the sun.
