All set up at Llandrinio Friday Pop-up Market and was given the table the cake lady usually has which tied in perfectly with the gorgeous patisserie theme for this year’s festive collection.

Here are some simple tips which can help you turn back the years in 24 hours!

When a picture says everything

Hobbling over the finish line of yesterday’s 10K race…the very last runner to finish 😢

Everything had been going really well, I was running better than I ever had and then I sustained a knee injury at around the 5K mark and watched every single runner go past me.

I was totally gutted and disappointed after months of preparation and training

I don’t think I’ve ever been more mortified than coming over the finish line with the last runner marshal and music blaring out to signal that the last runner had crossed the line. Although as my daughter so eloquently put it “mum it could have been worse, at least you hadn’t s**t yourself” 🤦🏻‍♀️

BUT there was a valuable life lesson that I learned. I should have listened to my body and pulled up but instead I soldiered on.

Everyone has said “well at least you finished” and “it’s the taking part that counts” but sometimes carrying on isn’t the bravest thing to do and can carry a greater cost.

I’m off to physio next week to see if they can sort me out and hopefully I haven’t done too much damage by “pushing through the pain” 🤞

10k race ready, wearing Calm & Correct (SPF, colour corrector and concealer all in one), Lip Stain and Buttertint on cheeks (swish of mascara for luck) then spritzed with Finishing Touch….putting them to the test!
