What an amazing achievement. I feel so fortunate to have had such a talented stylist as part of our team for the past decade. It has truly been a privilege to watch Gemma grow from a young, nervous stylist ten years ago into the confident, successful woman she is today.

Now, as she prepares to get married and begin a whole new chapter in life, it feels even more special to reflect on just how far she has come. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of that journey and equally grateful that Gemma has been such a huge part of Chic’s journey too.

Thank you for your hard work, loyalty, laughter, talent, and the care you show every single client. We are all so proud of you ❤️

As we reach the end of another incredibly busy year at Chic, I just want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you.
To my wonderful team, your dedication, creativity, humour, and calmness during the busiest season has not gone unnoticed ✂️✨ You truly make the salon what it is, and I’m so grateful for every colour, cut, coffee ☕, Saturday, late night, sweep-up, and smile.

Kate 💫 continues to be her steady, dependable self, balancing salon life alongside raising her three beautiful children. As we head towards Chic’s 20th year in 2026, it feels only right to acknowledge that Kate walked through the salon door just one week after I opened mine.
Two decades of trust, loyalty, shared laughter, life milestones, and the inevitable highs and lows. We really have grown older, wiser and thankfully more stylish together 💕 I look forward to another year by your side.
Kate continues to work Wednesdays and Fridays.

Gemma ✨ brings her infectious energy into every corner of the salon. She has built a strong and loyal client base who adore both her talent and her sparkle. Outside of work she’s equally full of life, and next May she becomes a Mrs 💍 which has quite rightly been the buzz of the salon all year.
Next year also marks 10 years of Gemma at Chic a milestone that deserves true celebration. Ten years of loyalty, hard work, laughter, and commitment. It has been an honour to watch you grow into the incredible woman you are, and I hope, like kate we continue to share many more life milestones together.

Lauren 🤍 has quietly and confidently become a core part of Chic. Her calm presence, attention to detail, and caring nature instantly put clients at ease. She has grown beautifully in both skill and self-belief this year, and I’m excited to watch her continue to flourish 🌱
This year also brought a personal milestone as she moved in with her boyfriend and settled into a new home and new chapter 🏡 It has been lovely to see Lauren thrive both in and out of the salon.

Ana🌸 joined us with fresh talent and a real hunger to learn, and she has truly found her feet this year. Initially very quiet, she has settled beautifully into the team.
She has worked hard to develop her skills and confidence, and 2025 brought huge personal milestones, moving in with her boyfriend and buying her first home 🏠✨ Such an exciting and proud achievement, and a true reflection of how much she has grown in such a short space of time.
Ana continues to work Tuesdays and Saturdays

Personally, I’ve continued to find life a challenge this year, balancing business ownership with caring for my beautiful family 🤍 Sometimes I think I’ve cracked it, only to realise I haven’t, and that’s okay.
My mum once told me her forties were her happiest years, and I understand now what she meant ✨ I feel calmer, more settled, more grateful, and more aware of what truly matters. I’m finally beginning to understand myself, and that in itself has been amazing. Every day feels like a privilege, and having a healthy family means everything.
This Christmas we’ve chosen to keep things quiet 🎄 I’m not hosting, and while it will feel different, it will also feel calmer and that feels right.

As we approach 20 years of business🎉 I genuinely cannot believe where the time has gone. I feel incredibly proud and honoured to still be a fixture on Coach Street still growing, still thriving.

To our loyal clients, thank you 🤍 Your support, patience, kindness, recommendations, and trust mean more to us than words can say. We never take your loyalty for granted.

We’re fully booked throughout the week, with only a few appointments left on Saturday with Ana — so if your little one needs a half term trim, make sure to book online today!

The rest of our team are now fully booked for Christmas, with only very limited availability left in the first week of December.

We still have some appointments available throughout October and November, so if you’re thinking ahead, now’s the time to get booked in!

Important Update & Christmas Bookings 🎄

Our appointments are now incredibly busy from now until Christmas — especially in the few weeks leading up to it, where there are very few spaces left.

Please can I remind everyone to give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel. This allows other clients the opportunity to take the appointment. As a very small business, last-minute cancellations or no-shows have a big impact on us, and I’d really like to avoid introducing cancellation fees.
I completely understand that things can happen unexpectedly, especially when you have children, but we really do appreciate as much notice as you can give.

We’ve also made a few updates to our online booking system to make things easier to understand.
• Children’s services have been simplified.
• Men’s cuts are no longer bookable online, as we’re no longer taking on new male clients (our young men are getting a little too fancy with their skin fades! 😄).

If you haven’t yet booked for Christmas or into the new year, please do so soon — spaces are filling fast!
We’ll be closed from 20th December to 2nd January.

When we return in 2026, it’ll mark 20 years since we first opened!
