What a year!!

💜 Renovations were completed upstairs to make way for a whole new treatment space

💜 The 2nd Christmas Gift Event was held in November, raising £305 for local charity Skipton Step Into Action and their Christmas Elves Appeal

💜 The microneedling device I was using (SkinPen) was swapped out for Exceed, allowing me to offer a more tailored treatment for even better results

💜 I travelled down to Kent twice to complete my Level 5 exams in Advanced Blemish Removal

💜 I completed about 200 pages of written work too! 😳

💜 I completed an advanced facial massage course, with some buccal massage too (inside your mouth!)

💜 I went to London for more CACI training, establishing myself as the first CACI Advanced Clinic in the area

💜 I signed up to a monthly Visibility Photo Shoot to get my face out there more… and shockingly, this is only the second photo I’ve used… 😬🤦🏼‍♀️

💜 Got a new shiny salon door!

💜 Redecorated the downstairs treatment room

💜 Got matching oak doors throughout the whole building!!

💜 Started the overhaul of a new reception area, to include new lights, seating and reception desk

💜 Added lots of new retail options

💜 Got a TikTok account

💜 I travelled to Seville to complete an Advanced Microneedling Workshop with the King of Microneedling himself, Dr Lance Setterfield

💜 Met industry and skin heroes from the other side of the pond, including Florence Barrett-Hill, Robyn McAlpine and Margaret Walsh

💜 Travelled down to Birmingham to attend a salon business conference

💜 Did a soft launch of a new makeup range (et al) to the salon and completed the training in Leeds for it 👌🏻

💜 Had chats with a skin range founder about the possibility of becoming the UK distributor for a brand

💜 Upgraded the Dermalux LED to the new version, which now allows me to easily treat all areas of the body, not just the face

💜 Completed some international dermaviduals training 🤩

And it’s not stopping for 2024 either… by the time I return on Friday 5th January I should hopefully have a newly decorated reception too!

Happy New Year, and I can’t wait to see what it has in store 🥰

Today Steven Fawcett and I have been busy playing Mr and Mrs Claus, getting lots of Christmas presents with the £305 raised for Skipton Step Into Action!

I topped it up a little to get some more special goodies, and thought you’d like to see what your generous donations, raffle tickets and Christmas Gift Experience tickets all went to buying!

I was asked to buy for 14-17 year olds which was a harder task than I imagined 😂 but hopefully these will make their Christmas’ a little brighter 🎄🎅🏻🧑🏻‍🎄🎁

Whilst the salon (and the uniform) looks a little bit different now, here I am getting acquainted with my oh so fabulous microneedling pen at the start of this year.

There are a few things that you need to know about me and where I stand with my business.

❤️ I ADORE learning. Seriously! My husband tells anyone when he talks about me that all I did during lockdown was spend my days either on a laptop or with my head in a book soaking up all the knowledge I could. No Netflix for me!

❤️ I invest HEAVILY in this learning and the equipment that I bring in to help me help you with your skin and hair removal concerns, whether that be waxing, electrolysis, laser hair removal, alkaline wash… or your lines, wrinkles, general ageing, dryness, acne, rosacea… the list goes on!

❤️ This heavy investment includes me removing machines or equipment that do the same thing as something I already have in.

Because you see, in this photo, I may be learning a new microneedling pen, but I’d had another one previous to this!

But it just wasn’t cutting the mustard anymore 🔪

So I swapped this out for a much more comfortable pen, meaning more comfortable treatments and better results!

I could have quite easily stuck with my old device and got in a new technique to bring to you.

But I work with integrity, and if I don’t trust my devices or I know there’s something better out there, I WILL swap it out.

❤️ These beautiful scrubs landed in Velvet last year too, and are gorgeous hand made vegan sugar scrubs for use on the body.

They’re available in a range of essential oil based scents, with the most popular being the citrus blend (I change mine up!).

These are seriously brilliant at helping to keep ingrown hairs at bay after waxing and laser hair removal, and melt into the skin leaving it gorgeously hydrated.

So there you have it! My top 5 go-to products right now.
