Merry Christmas to One and All 🎄🥂🍾

I can not believe another year has gone by so quickly or is it just me, it only feels like yesterday I was writing my last Christmas message.
As we grow older it often feels like time goes by faster and faster. I think over time the rate at which we process visual information slows down and this is what makes the time speed up as we grow. If I’m honest I hate it. My children are growing up to quickly and I seem to be looking far more weathered.

2023 has been another successful year at chic!!
Even though we are in a cost of living crisis you guys have kept us busy and we are so grateful for that!
Thank you for every single client that has visited the salon, taken time to write a review or recommend a friend, without your continued loyalty and support we would not be celebrating our amazing achievement of 17 years in business.

Gemma is now in her 7 th year at chic. How amazing is that. Gemma still continues to amaze me with her dedication and drive to produce 100% every time.
The quality of hairdressing she now delivers on the shop floor is on another level!!
Gemma has been travelling this year which always makes her so happy, she loves getting on a plane!!!
And wait for it, she has also moved in with her partner and they are spending their first Christmas together.
(I’m sure most clients have heard about the Christmas tree)

Lauren continues to grow, her work ethos for a young girl has to be rewarded, I know I say it every year but it’s not seen often these days. Lauren has earned a well deserved promotion to salon director last month.
Lauren has been aboard for the first time this summer and now has the bug to visit more of the world.
I’m enjoying watching this incredibly quiet girl bloom into an amazing young woman.
Lauren finally got her car back before Christmas after wait for it MY salon sign fell on her car roof.. always a tale to tell at Chic!!!

Kate, I’m loving every second working with this beauty!!
You have to love this girl, in the early days 17 years ago she was nicknamed “wonderwomen”
I truly believe she still owns that name, Kate is always full of energy which pretty impressive when bringing up 3 kids, how does she always look so beautiful all of the time. This girls laugh is loud and infectious we love her and so does everyone else, her following of clients has grown so much she has extended her hours next year to
Wednesday Thursday and Friday.

lily, what an amazing daughter I’ve been blessed with my rainbow baby. She has decided to commit to helping us out every Saturday now and she’s pretty damn good at it for an 11 year old.
The staff and clients can not believe how much common sense she has at such a young age. Lily started secondary school this year and it’s been a hard transition, but she is bossing her education and has big dreams!! (Sadly not to be a hairdresser)

I’ve felt that business this year has been tuff.. the rising costs have been ridiculous. Any price increase has directly been passed to the staff which I feel they deserved. Let’s hope next year things calm down and stabilise in 2024.

Finally we need to remember what Christmas is all about
For most, Christmas is a time to come together, spend time with each other, strengthen family bonds and connect with and appreciate the important people in your lives. We also need to remember the loved ones we have sadly lost. If you are on your own and need someone to talk to please just drop me an email I’m a good listener and absolutely hate thinking someone on their own.

GOOD WILL GESTURE… so one of our loyal clients (who doesn’t wished to be named) has decided to pay for ONE cut and finish for someone as a good will gesture for Christmas. If you know anyone who has had a tuff time recently or struggling with the cost of living and their hair is the last thing on their mind please message me directly on Facebook or instagram explaining why they deserve this amazing gesture. This cut and finish will be available to use after the 9 th January and not to be used on a Saturday. Christmas is a time for giving ❤️ i will contact the person directly in the new year.
