✨ Wednesday Transformation ✨

Subtle colour change to break up all over blonde that was a combination of a build up of highlights and lots of Holidays ☀️🏖️😘

My lovely client wanted to keep it bright but more natural and blended with her actual hair colour so added a trio of colours to achieve some contrast and a more cohesive blend for when the regrowth comes through .

Completed with a graduated cut to remove the length as the condition of the ends were compromised and also to give a her a more youthful style , looking fab Mrs P !! 🥰

Just 🫶 a major transformation ❤️

Still going strong for this season , cowboy copper never fails when wanting a more autumnal colour !

Just look at that shine ✨✨

Fab results using Wella Colour Touch today , my go to colour brand when using red/copper tones 🥰

Love it when a client tells me to ‘do whatever’ 😀
So we decided to drop the dark slices & mixed it up with tonal blonde highlights to lift, brighten and add dimension to the colour.

She was happy to loose quite a bit of length ( those ends needed to come off for sure ) and added some soft layers to help add volume when styling.

A soft blend of natural lowlights and highlights to balance previous colour , complete with a versatile cut that looks fab worn straight or with a curl , all ready for her winter holiday !

And we finally got there !
Showing 10 months of growth with regular 6 weekly appointments.

So 10 months ago we did quite a severe chop !

We cut off quite a bit of length to remove the last of the colour that was left on the ends from previous colour services before my client had decided she wanted to go all natural , these ends had to go ! So we just went for it !
It instantly looked healthier but the goal was to then grow it so she could have the option to wear up for a very special occasion should she wish to .

10 months later (and just in time ) my client now has 100% natural hair and in perfect condition .

As it happens she has decided to wear it down to best compliment her outfit and choice of headwear , so we added some soft layering to the length to give it a bit of shape , so glad she followed my advice and was brave enough to just go with it , such a beautiful natural colour too !

I hope you all have a truly wonderful day , cherish these moments , from one mother of the groom to another 🥰💙

Lovely transformation on my client , who wanted to be lighter to blend her natural highlights 😉 giving her a softer grow out and eradicate some of the warmth.
Think this ticked all the boxes, Love it 💕

Struggling to Schedule Your Appointments In ?
The Solution ….

🔥Transition from Highlights to Balayage 🔥

Advantages-

•Low Maintenance - preserves your base colour while allowing you to lighten and blend your natural roots for a soft look.

•Can be fully customised with colours of choice ie High Contrast Colours can be used or keep to a more Natural Blend, both work well with this application.

•No harsh Regrowth lines as with other application techniques, so you gain longevity inbetween your maintenance appointments.

In the ‘before’ picture you will see my clients regrowth - typical of a classic highlighting service , grows out with a notable line , this requires regular maintenance- ideally 6- 8 weeks ( if you can last that long 😬).

By changing to Balayage - as it’s a soft rooted look - this will continue to grow out softly , making this the perfect choice if you want to colour your hair but struggle to schedule in regular maintenance appointments.

Also dependant on your individual requirements your actual appointment duration can be reduced !

🔥 When your client likes cowboy copper but also wants a kiss of sunshine ☀️

When you can’t make your mind up why not go for both !

Added depth and tone to totally natural virgin hair , as this was the first time having colour we did a thorough consultation with visuals as a reference . My lovely client was torn between two trends , so we met somewhere in the middle . Added Rich tones with a sprinkle of subtle baby lights to add dimension and I think we nailed it ! Not to dark not to light . This was the perfect choice as a starting point , more lighter pieces can be added as and when or vice versa , making it a very versatile colour combination, perfect for you want a change but wish to still be soft and natural . Completed the look by adding in some soft long layers and styled using products.

My Top 3 Holiday Hair Essentials !!

Whilst we are all busy lathering ourselves in Factor 50 sunscreen 🥹 let’s take a minute to think about our hair !

Without a thought we pack our Suncreams and Aftersun products to nourish and protect our skin but we don’t often think about products that nourish and protect our hair ( and scalp ) and yet it is exposed to the same factors.

These are my personally tried and tested hair holiday essentials , my go to products and I wouldn’t leave home without them .

With Pro Vitamin B5 to moisturise the hair after sun exposure and Vitamin E to help protect from damage caused by the sun ( win win ) they also smell fabulous !

My hair felt wonderful and I definitely noticed the difference using these whilst in the sun , my hair wasn’t dehydrated - it felt soft and wonderfully conditioned and my colour did not have the usual ‘holiday fade’ from the sun exposure. Ideal for before, during & after sun exposure.

I would thoroughly recommend these products and guarantee your hair (and hairdresser) will appreciate it too 😉

Sometimes you just got to change it up !!

So I have been doing my lovely client’s hair for nearly 15 years now , usually we opted for Golden Blonde highlights with a lowlight of the same depth as her natural hair.
Always happy with the outcome and apart from going a little shorter or growing it a little longer sometimes we never really changed it up , if it works then why fix it if it’s not broke ?

Well I had noticed her appointments were getting closer and closer , what you moaning about I hear you say , but I take pride in offering a service that not only provides a high quality of service, but an outcome that you are happy with and that also fits in with your lifestyle . My clients work schedule had recently changed and finding time to fit appointments in were becoming increasingly harder , effectively her hair was becoming harder to maintain.

So I approached her regarding her colour choices .

My thoughts were … over the last 15 years the canvas I was working on had changed .
There was a higher percentage of white hair present and minimal amounts of her natural depth left as a result . It happens to the best of us ! Natures Gift & The gift that just keeps giving ! 😉
As a result the roots were becoming more and more noticeable and the grow out seemed to be happening quicker . Never one to moan but this time it wasn’t working for ME ! I had to change it up .
So after a thorough explanation of my thoughts my client was happy to take my advice and we changed it up ! 👏👏👏
I added a combination of highlights , a mix of soft creamy blondes with a hint of silver and pearl , to blend more cohesively with her naturals whites, therefore giving a soft grow out , adding longevity to her colour and gaining trust from my client that I have her best interests in mind at all times ! After all a happy client is a returning client !!
She was over the moan with the result , as was I !

Glad I took the time to have a re think , approach my client and that she trusted me enough to embrace a change 😍 Here’s to the next 15 years ! 🥰

The journey is complete !

4.5 months ago we decided it was time to do something different , having repeated the same colours for several years and going back and fourth with growing it then cutting it short - growing it then cutting it short … etc it just wasn’t working anymore .

As there was now a higher % of white hair the client felt her roots were coming through too quick and was getting harder to maintain , so the decision was to lighten up the hair gradually over time with highlights - allowing her natural whites to grow down so it would blend nicely and therefore when new growth did appear it was less harsh and noticeable , we also did regular 6 weekly trims and changed her care & styling products completely !
Safe to say we are both delighted with the end result and with a little bit of perseverance and patience my lovely client now has a style that is easier to maintain and the condition has not been compromised in any way . Love it ! ❤️

Beautiful Balayage for this client today .

First time application , achieved these results with using only a high lift tint , no bleach or toning necessary.
This helped maintain condition of the hair whilst lightening and produced a soft contrast yet natural result.
Colour was followed by a long layered cut and finished with curls using Wella Eimi care and styling products .
Happy Hair - Happy Client 🥰
