8 years of owning Serenity ✂️✨

When I look back at the girl who started this journey 8 years ago, I don’t think she could ever have imagined everything that was ahead of her. The highs, the lows, the long days, the worry, the self-doubt, the tears, the laughter, the amazing memories and, most importantly, the incredible people I’ve met along the way.

Owning a business isn’t always as glamorous as it looks. There have been days where I’ve questioned myself, days where things have felt overwhelming and days where I’ve wondered if I was doing enough. But somehow, I’ve kept going. I’ve learnt, I’ve grown, I’ve pushed myself and I’ve built something that I can genuinely say I am so incredibly proud of 🩷

Serenity isn’t just a business to me. It’s a huge part of who I am. It’s my passion, my hard work, my happy place and a little piece of my heart that I’ve poured into for the last 8 years.

And then there’s you… my wonderful clients. 🥹❤️

Some of you have been sitting in my chair since the very beginning, and that honestly means more to me than I could ever put into words. You’ve stayed with me through all the changes, supported me through the difficult days and celebrated the good ones with me.

Over the years, so many of you have become much more than clients. You’ve become friends, familiar faces, people I genuinely look forward to seeing and people who have shared little pieces of your lives with me while sitting in my chair. I’ve laughed with you, listened to you, celebrated with you and sometimes even cried with you.

That’s what makes Serenity so special to me. ❤️

So today, I’m not just celebrating 8 years of owning a business.

I’m celebrating 8 years of believing in myself.

8 years of taking a chance on my dream.

I absolutely love what I do and appreciate every single one of you, I'm not just your hairdresser, I am the unpaid therapist, scientist and miracle worker, even if I still forget where you part your hair 😂

Autumn vibes and rose gold hue, absolutely love this combination of colours 😍
I never choose straight from the colour chart, sometimes we have to use our imagination to create a custom colour that works for our clients and I think it works beautifully 😁

🌿✨ **HAIR CARE ADVICE FROM SERENITY** ✨🌿

Beautiful hair starts with a little TLC 🤍

✂️ **Don’t overwash** — try to give your hair a break between washes when you can.

💧 **Keep it hydrated** — use a good conditioner and treat your hair to a nourishing mask regularly.

🔥 **Protect from heat** — always use a heat-protecting product before styling.

🪮 **Be gentle** — avoid brushing wet hair roughly; use a wide-tooth comb or gentle detangling brush.

🌸 **Regular trims** — keeping on top of your trims helps prevent split ends travelling further up the hair.

✨ **And most importantly…** use products suited to *your* hair. What works for one person might not work for another!
