September… it’s been a month 💜

September is normally my SUPER happy month. It’s my birthday month, the start of autumn, and usually just one of my favourite times of the year.

And there have definitely been some amazing highs this month 🥹

I’ve trained some incredible students, watched people take their first steps into the beauty industry, celebrated my birthday, and somehow managed to organise my partner’s 40th around running a business, teaching, clients, family life and everything else that comes with it 😂💜

But behind all of the happy pictures, September has had some pretty big lows too.

My son has unfortunately been really unwell, and there have been days where business has had to take a back seat because being Mum needed to come first.

And I think that’s something we don’t talk about enough when we talk about owning a business.

Yes, it can be stressful. Yes, sometimes you’re trying to keep everything running while life is doing its absolute best to throw everything at you at once 😂

But one of the biggest things I’ll forever be grateful for is the flexibility it gives me.

I can move things around. I can change my plans. I can be there for my children when they genuinely need me, without having to ask someone else for permission.

Some months are all wins, celebrations and big milestones.

Others are a mixture of birthday cake, certificates, hospital trips, family celebrations, work, worry, laughter and just figuring it out as you go.

September was definitely the latter.

But we roll with it 💜

Business owner. Trainer. Partner. Mum.

Somehow juggling all of the hats… and very rarely wearing just one at a time 😂
