What are we calling a feminine mullet? Is it a “she-mullet” or a “shullet”? ✂️

Whatever it is, I’ve been asking this client (she’s my mam) to move away from the extreme undercut at the back and now she’s eventually agreed. We’ve kept the sides and edges undercut but blended in the back and added a textured layer to give it a bit more of a mullet look.

We’ve also been playing with the new Glossy Gloss toners. I can’t get enough of them at the moment! 10/10 👏🏼👏🏼

A total “pinch me” moment, being named a finalist for Hairdresser of the Year at the North East Hair & Beauty Awards.

Yesterday’s networking event was a reminder of the level of talent and dedication within our industry. To be recognised in a category like this, alongside so many respected professionals, genuinely means a so much! Years of hardworking, long days, and many happy clients totally validate this industry recognition.

I also spent the day filming for our “In The Chair With…” series for WilsonBrown Academy, speaking with finalists, judges, sponsors and the founder. Some brilliant conversations that I’m excited to share soon.

And to be sharing this finalist moment with my teammate Sinead from Clayton Studio makes it even more special. She’s up for Blonde specialist and totally deserves her place! Her work is amazing!
