Today, I am beyond devastated to announce that
I am closing, The Skin Girl.

This is a post I never thought I would have to write, especially so soon.

If you have a gift from me don’t worry I will still honour your appointment.

Over the last few months, I have poured everything I had into building this business. I invested my time, energy, money, and heart into creating something I truly believed in. I had big dreams for The Skin Girl and so many plans for what it could become.

Unfortunately, despite my hard work and determination, I haven’t been able to build enough clientele to make the business financially sustainable. The reality is that I can no longer justify the costs of running the business when it is beginning to impact my family’s finances.

Making this decision has been incredibly painful. Closing The Skin Girl is not what I wanted, and it certainly isn’t how I imagined this journey would end. I have spent many sleepless nights questioning myself, trying to find a way to make it work, and holding onto hope that things would improve.

But there comes a point where you have to choose between holding onto a dream and protecting the people you love most. For me, my family has to come first.

To every client who booked with me, supported me, shared my posts, recommended me, or simply believed in me—thank you. Your support meant the world to me. Every appointment, every kind word, and every bit of encouragement helped me keep going when things felt difficult.

While I am devastated that this chapter is ending, I am proud that I had the courage to try. Starting a business is scary, and although this dream didn’t unfold the way I hoped, I gave it everything I had.

Thank you for supporting The Skin Girl and for being part of this journey, however short it may have been.

My heart is broken, but my family must come first. ❤️
